21  Re: WWP Mabon Swap Round 22 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by kmichele_craftyfae on: September 16, 2010 10:16:32 AM
I received my package from Starchild today and I haven't stopped smiling! The poor thing was worried about her package, but I absolutely love everything in it!! I was lucky enough to be able to bring everything outside for some decent pictures before the rain started.

First up..an everything shot!

She added such an awesome card! I always wanted a faery godmother with a wand and combat boots!

Next up, not 1 but 2 altar cloths that fit my altar. And they are reversible! So it's like getting 4 of them! I love the embroidery on the chocolate brown one, the fabric is oh so soft and the embroidery is very pretty! I do have to apologize for a crappy picture. The red fabric in the second picture is more of a deeper red in person than the pinkish red that shows up in the picture.

She also sent some candles and some very yummy smelling tea. I can't wait to try it! I got a kick out of the tea bag though. I've never seen one like it! It's so cute!

Then there is this little guy! I squealed with delight when I unwrapped him. I love dragons and he is too cute! He's felted and has such a wonderful little smile!

Starchild has some amazing wire wrapping skills! I absolutely love this little tree! I am now on the hunt for the perfect spot to display it! It even has my favorite stone for it's leaves!!

And she is not the only one who has amazing wire wrapping skills. Remember the mention of a surprise item from her bf? OMG I squealed yet again causing my cat Orion to give me quite the wild look of surprise lol.

You are definitely going to have to give that man of yours some major hugs from me! I love the dragonflies!

Thank you so much for being such an awesome partner and friend!! I love love LOVE everything!! HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS!!!

Oh I am soo glad that you like everything! I kept asking hubby if I should add more and kept getting "You've made plenty" as a response lol.

Here are a few of the pictures I took:

I have another one of pan but for some reason crafter keeps flipping the picture and smooshing it. Go figure. Oh and Tsu'tey glows in the dark too. Well at least his tiny little spots do  Smiley

And yep! It is terra cotta. It's the saucer that you get with the terra cotta pots. They make the perfect altar plates and take craft paint oh so well  Cheesy

I'm so glad you found the book. I love Circle Round. Can't get enough of that book  Smiley

Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments. I was worried for some reason haha.

I received my package from Superhooker today. She made me a set of elemental art dolls. She sewed each one and then painted them. The fire one even has a bit of sparkle to her.

I love them! I love how each one is unique and has their own personalities! And the yarns used for their hair is so soft! Thanks so much Superhooker! I can't wait to find a special place to display them  Cheesy

24  Necklace for Charity in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by kmichele_craftyfae on: September 13, 2010 06:51:19 AM
My sister works for a local law firm. Every year the law firm throws a charity event and this year my sister was asked to help out. Go Red for Women is their charity this year and they plan on having a silent auction to help raise money for the American Heart Association.

Their theme for the silent auction is women's accessories. After helping my sister brain storm some ideas as to who to contact and what sort of items to include, she asked if I would be willing to create something for the auction. I jumped at the chance and created a necklace. It's sterling silver with swarovski crystals.

I'm not a jewelry designer in any form. But occasionally I come up with something that I'm really pleased with. I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

C&C welcome!
Enjoy!!

25  Re: ATC Small Grab Bag Gallery in The Swap Gallery by kmichele_craftyfae on: September 08, 2010 08:34:02 PM
I received my package yesterday in the mail from Jemimah. She sent a very, very stuffed envelope and I loved it! Especially the papers and all their various textures.

The goodies!!

There's a few pages from books. A couple of maps, some amazingly textured papers (I keep pulling the papers out just to feel them lol), stickers, ribbon and lace. There was also some sequins of various shapes and sizes and some bird confetti too. Tiny clothespins, dragonfly charms, and some buttons. There was also some wooden shapes and a bit of fabric.

Jemimah and I decided that it would be fun to make each other an ATC to send along with our packages. My dragonfly ATC came along with a few extra goodies! A needle book and a very cute owl key chain.

I'm sure I haven't mentioned everything that came in my envelope. Every time I pull everything out I discover something new! Thanks Jemimah for being such an awesome swap partner!!  Cheesy

I received my package from RippledWater while I was camping. What an awesome surprise to come home to. Of course after hubby brought it out of hiding because he didn't want me to get distracted from unpacking lol. Anyway..on to the pictures!

Group shot of everything:

Jess made me a Freya harvest art quilt. I have just the stick I am going to use to hang it and will hang it on the wall near my altar:

A Lammas head wreath (I love head wreaths) and a God and Goddess stuffie. The God and Goddess are both reversible. One side for celebrating the sun and the other has a grain symbol for celebrating the harvest and fertility.

A hand drawn card of Freya, a pretty little box and a new friend to boot! My son even liked my new friend and wants me to make him one too  Cheesy

Thanks so much for being an awesome partner Jess!! I love my package and am really glad you like yours  Smiley

27  Re: WWP Pre-Lughnasadh Healing Card Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by kmichele_craftyfae on: July 12, 2010 06:07:58 PM
Oops! I forgot to mentioned that the aventurines were drilled  Grin

I decided to save some space and take a group shot of all the cards I've received and laid them out on my craft table (which just happens to be the only available surface with any decent amount of light and large enough to hold all the cards).

I have to say that this was an awesome swap and very much needed, as I'm sure we all would agree  Cheesy Every card was very unique and even all the trinkets that everyone included. I love them all so much! I am going to be hanging all my cards near my altar as an every day reminder!

Thank you all so much!!

28  Re: One Tiny Pirrrrrate Thing, here be the viewin' of the loot in The Swap Gallery by kmichele_craftyfae on: June 25, 2010 11:14:12 AM
I received my package from mama24boyz today. And I kid you not, I squeeled like a school girl with a crush. Prepare your wisting fingers! First up, the awesome pirate skull that greeted me when I opened the box.

There are quotes around the outside of the box too!

"I'm Captain Jack Sparrow"
"Why is the rum always gone"
"A dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest"

And then, there was what was inside!

Pirate skull coasters!! I was giggling like said school girl at this point! Each pirate has a different charm on their headbands and each of them had the double braid goatee, just like our favorite captain Jack Sparrow (swoon). And if that wasn't enough, mama sent pirate buttons!

Here's everything together.

Thanks mama24boyz for being an awesome swap partner and a HUGE thank you to our cap'n for hosting the sails for this one! I had so much fun!!

Squire: I'm so glad you liked everything. I admit, I had a little swap anxiety which I don't get very often lol. Here's a picture of what the Witch Balls look like. I had to take the picture with the flash to get the colors to show up.

Holistic Knitter: I'm so glad you liked it. I had fun making it.

Everyone's packages are awesome. These swaps are definitely my favorite! Oh and the oils do smell lovely. The faery oil has such a light pretty flower scent to it.

Can't wait until the next round!

I finally sat down long enough to take pictures of the awesome package squire_inaria sent. I absolutely love everything and can't even begin to pick a favorite item. I do have to apologize for the ick pictures. It was dark outside and my craft lights just do not do everything justice.

First up: The whole lot.

The sewn items: A very pretty sheer green caftan for dancing with faeries, a lovely smelling dream pillow (this will come in handy for those stressful days of dealing with an uncooperative 5 year old), and a pretty light purple pouch (which holds some pretty goodies)

The sweet smells: Oils! Faery dust oil, Moon Oil, Sun Oil, Mermaid Oil, and Midsummer Oil

And a picture of the faery oil with the flash. It glitters when it's all shook up!!

What was inside the pretty purple pouch? Faeries!! Faery magnets and a lot of them too!

And there's still more!! A pretty painted blue box (it sparkles and has sparkly fabric inside it as well), a tiny bottle of faery dust because everyone needs a bit of faery dust in their lives, a chain mail jewelry set, and a very pretty Midsummer meditation that squire_inaria wrote.

And last but not least, my card from hawkeyes_girl came today as well!! Couldn't plan that again even if you tried! I can't wait to try the tea, strawberry pomegranate YUM!

Now swap anxiety sits in. Thanks for being an awesome partner squire and thank you for the card hawk, both totally made my day today.
