34  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Helloo from Phoenix, AZ USA!! on: July 14, 2008 09:15:04 PM
OOps, bad me. I've been here since 13 May but did not intro!
I've been crafting forever, originally from NYC. Hope to find some crafty friends in Phoenix (in the 35th Ave/Baseline Area) that we can meet and get crafty together. Maybe set up a shop and sell our goodies!

I dabble in paper working/ scrapbooking, painting, cross-stitch, some needlepoint, learning to sew (on a machine), paper-mache, diy and refurbishing projects. I have some of my done thing on flickr.

Wave when you're in town!

36  Arizona / Arizona: Central / Phoenix First Fridays on: May 13, 2008 12:42:10 PM
Ok, so late for May 2008, But early for June! They do "Saturday After" as well 1-5pm

First Fridays
If this is your first visit to artlinkphoenix.com and First Fridays - Welcome! we hope you enjoy the variety of art and experiences that First Fridays offers. Frist Fridays runs from 6pm till 10pm on the first Friday of each month. We suggest you start at the Phoenix Public Library, located just south of McDowell Road on Central Avenue.

Stop inside to get a first friday brochure, that includes all the member galleries, their locations in the downtown Phoenix area, and the best shuttle bus route that will get you out and about! That's right - shuttle buses.

Artlink inc. is proud of its committment to reducing traffic throughout the downtown area. More importantly, can you imagine the parking nightmares if everyone tried to park at all the galleries? Jump aboard any one of four shuttle bus routes that run every 20 minutes to meet fellow art supporters and get around to some areas of First Fridays you might not have thought about visiting.

There are lots of opinions as to what makes a good night out at First Fridays. Ask around; we all love art, so why not talk about it? Thanks for your support, and enjoy your evening out!
