1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / A couple coats of paint and some imagination and old is new again! on: September 30, 2009 04:53:12 PM
I forgot to take before pictures but these tables and chair were headed to a wood pile somewhere.  I tightened the rungs up on a couple of them and then added imagination and paint:

Steampunk Chair:
You can't really tell from the pictures but the silver parts of the chair have glitter mixed in with polyurethane for the finish.

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / No one wanted this ugly duckling... on: September 30, 2009 04:20:47 PM
I went to a yard sale and everyone passed on this vanity (it was marked $10.00) and even though the veneer on top was bucked and missing in places I could still see it was a beautiful piece and deserved some TLC.  So I began practicing how to do faux marble and this is what I came up with (the top is not as yellow as it looks in the first picture):

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Office Makeover on: September 07, 2009 08:10:33 PM
Today I decided my office needed some zip
I cut out some polka dot stencils with contact paper and a rotary cutter. And I painted the fan blades as well as the window sill & frame.
The green paint is lime green so it is much brighter than it appears in the pictures

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My Shop Neighbors call it The Crazy Chair Updated w/Upholstery on: August 03, 2009 06:47:16 PM
I think I have finally found the perfect upholstery for my chair:

I have been working on this chair in between projects.  It is all done freehand.  I think I have about 6 more hours of painting and I will be done!

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Ugly Wardrobe To Beach Wardrobe on: July 27, 2009 06:54:14 PM

I've had this cedarlined wardrobe for a few years and could never come up with a good idea for it...
A little painters tape and some paint and voila!

Also painted an old end table I had (sorry I ddin't take any before pics)

Working on a chair now-will put up pictures when I finish.

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Zebra Lampshade on: June 16, 2009 06:16:19 PM
I am making the accents at the shop Zebra and Leopard.  This was a lampshade i got for free and I made the stripes with Marks-a-lot.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Tattoo Jeans For Advertising on: December 18, 2008 03:16:56 PM

Like so many other small businesses our Boutique/Consignment shop is struggling and we have been wracking our brains to look for ways to advertise on the cheap.  Since I have a habit of "coloring"  jeans when I'm on the phone I thought why not put some advertisement on them too! Jeans came from eBay ($3.99) shoes from our shop ($5.50) C&C welcome.

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Trixi LaRue Jeans on: October 14, 2008 06:20:23 PM
I own a consignment boutique and we have hundreds of jeans that get donated to local charities every month so I decided to keep a pair by the phone to use for doodling. This is what I've come up with so far:
9  UNITED STATES / Virginia / Yorktown, VA on: May 23, 2008 03:38:55 AM
Bella's Boutique & Consignment
7201 Geo Wash Mem Hwy (Rte 17)
Yorktown, VA 23692

New & Gently used women's (children's coming soon) clothing.  Would love to find designers for reconstructing clothing contest.
