1  Re: Sweat Shoppe Swap Round 22 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by lindsayrose on: March 06, 2010 12:52:03 PM
I've received from 8 of the ten partners I have! I LOVE everything. Here are some  pictures.

Gorgeous greeting cards

Cloth pads (Which I am trying for the first time and completely stoked about!) and a hygiene wallet made from beautiful peacock fabric.

An awesome trinket sack, a funky zig zag bookmark with a pretty teal bead and a key chain with a pretty maroon bead, the beautiful where the heart is necklace (the photo doesn't do these justice but you've seen the awesomeness up here before), two smaller kanzashi flower hair pins (FAVORITE colors in the fabric), an adorable cloth bookmark with a swinging little girl, and a kitten paw for good measure haha.

2  Can't decide on website design! in Get Product and Website Opinions by lindsayrose on: February 22, 2010 04:24:16 PM
All right, so I have been on a design binge and have come up with a few different designs. They all have different feels to them and I understand that it depends on my feel but I feel like any one of them could represent varying parts of my personality. Just wanted your opinions. I'm obviously going to change and add content but just curious about the design elements (placement/color etc) So any input is greatly appreciated!

Okay so I haven't been officially accepted but I can't see a reason why I wont be so I probably should post my offerings before its too late!

So first of all I'm offering 5 woven bead bracelets. They all are about a foot long with varying designs. You can choose your favorites or convo me about other options. I have a good deal of seed beads and can make other designs or color combinations. The red bracelet actually has turquoise beads although they look a bit washed out in the picture.

The second thing I am offering is another kind of fingerless glove/wristwarmers.

Here are the color options, please specify number/letter (I wanted to do all numbers but had a brain fart and labeled them all the same so added the letters after)

I also have suede yarn but didn't take photos. If this is your thing I can take pictures, I have a forest green, cream, and navy blue.

I received from Shannin today! I was so excited to open it! I got some great stuff.

I got this awesome cook book with all recipes that only require four ingredients! How cool. I cant wait to start using them. She sent me this great notebook to keep track of all my stuff. It's actually really cool. I was reading the inside and apparently it is 100% recycled and made in the US. It even has a number on the back cover that you can type into their website to see where the paper your book is made from came from originally. I'm a dork but this is the info on my book http://ecosystemlife.com/ingredients/eco_ingredients/detail/?lk_cat_type_token=a&pin=fm00506bo. I also got some awesome crocheted washcloths. I love the color scheme so much. Shannin even included the pattern she used because she saw I crochet too! You can see in the photo I already started making another one on my own ha ha! And lastly she sent me a hook roll made out of the most incredibly beautiful damask fabric and polka dots on the inside. Wowww! I'm so pleased Smiley

I received from Ewulotta a few days ago but the package was stuck at the post office and I got it today! I got this awesome stenciled t-shirt straight from my wists of the Hindu deity Ganesha. Along with that a great selection of yarns they are super skinny and it's funny because I've been wanting some fingering? yarn or a while now. Whatever it's called I got some awesome colors.

I received from leighi123 today! I was pleasantly surprised by the goodies that I received! Here's a picture of everything all laid out.

I received all sorts of awesome scraps of fabrics, some thick upholstery, some crushed velvet stretchy, all sorts of fun colorful prints, this awesome wallet made out of paint chips, and a bunch of neato buttons especially the kinds with the loops on the end that I've been using a lot. Thanks so much!!!!! I can't wait to find stuff to make with all this.

Ah, this looks like a lot of fun. I have one spot open and I'm debating on what to do! It's a toughie! So I have a question too. My first thought of what I wanted to make was wristwarmers. I do see that the lovely thedreamer is already making some but the style I was planning on making are quite different. Just curious what the thoughts are of double item-ing. If its an issue I can probably think of something else to do just thought I'd ask because these WW are really quick and fun to whip up. Oh pic for reference.

I received from the loveliest SpookyPooky today. And man oh man I was worried! Somehow the box that she sent me got smooshed and it was all dented and they even put it in a plastic bag with a rubber band around it! HOW LAME. THANKFULLY it was all safe and sound in its little nest of packing peanuts. It is so cool! I only had my cell to take pics with but I think they came out all right.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I really love this little guy.

Whoa, I wonder if we had the same partner titanium.... >.> I guess we'll find out! I received!

This awesome hot mat or something of that nature that I am SO interested in learning how to make!

Hair things! Such fun scrunchies and clips. I think my favorites are the felt covered clips.

Fun charmy things. I LOVE buggies and butterflies and my partner definitely figured that out.

And onto some super awesomness

I collect rosaries and so I received a blue necklace rosary and a purple wristlet one. Purple is my favorite color! Oh and another gorgeous necklace:

Then some Christmas stuff

Ornaments

Superlong stocking my boyfriend is holding up (which he better completely fill!)

And then some things to do for myself

Italy 3d stickers and holiday stencils!

And I think my absolute favorite favorite favorite thing in the whole package was this:

I have been wanting to learn how to cross stitch so this was especially exciting! I already whipped the bird one out in no time flat!

There was at least one other item that was made out of yarn and I honestly don't know what it was because my kitten stole it immediately after I opened the package (he loves anything made of yarn) and I cannot for the life of me find it Sad

Thanks so much SECRET SANTA I love the package I received

OMANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN I received my package from RhymesWOrange today and I LOVE IT! She claimed me for wristwarmers and the ones she sent me are so gorgeous and perfect. And not only that but she sent me a matching hat too! My camera batteries died before  I could get a picture of the hat so the pictures of that will have to wait but I'm getting more excited about this swap all the time. I cant wait to see more pictures!

Oh and polutechnos-- someone just claimed you! And for all of the other people who haven't gotten claimed yet, don't fret there's still time and I'm not letting anybody go without birthday goodies!
