171  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Polka Dot Unicorn on: April 01, 2011 06:03:51 PM
I made this unicorn for my 4 year old niece's birthday. It's not the first unicorn I've made, but it's the first one that I wasn't too embarrassed to post here. I used a pattern - Simplicity 2921, but I'm slowly working on drafting my own patterns. It's made from flannel (my favorite stuffed animal fabric) and stuffed with polyfil and some poly pellets in the legs. I hope you like it!

Ha! That's hilarious. I once tried to dress up my chihuahua, but she just trembled and quietly whimpered the entire time - wouldn't move for anything. When I took the costume off of her, she waited until I wasn't looking then chewed it up and peed on it. Glad Conan was a good sport because he looks smashing.

Bloopers might be my favorite monsters in the Mario universe and I think you've done them justice. Awesome job.

178  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: build a bear clothes??? on: August 12, 2010 10:44:20 PM
I searched high and low for the same thing and finally gave up. I'm in the process of trial-and-erroring my way through a dress pattern right now. I sort of cheated and used an existing dress I had to figure out the rough size/shape of the pieces, but I am new to sewing so that makes it pretty difficult. Sorry I can't help you, but hopefully someone else can. There's obviously a demand here.
179  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: TrapJaw & MummRa, 80s cartoon villain plush! on: July 13, 2010 09:40:49 PM
I am pretty much THE biggest fan of all things He-Man so I actually sort of let some weird yip when I saw the thumbnail and scared the crap out of my cat. TrapJaw was my favorite ever so I'm in love with your plush version. Awesome job.

Mathematical! I am really loving this and am sort of surprised since I thought I was alone in my adult Adventure Time fanaticism. I'm actually working on a little stuffed Ricardio, myself. Anyway, very awesome job. I'm in love.
