OK, I'll admit to never having seen Christmas Evil, but I just had to say that "Ho Ho DIE" just made my evening.
Ooo, and the Freddie one looks really really good.
1812  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Badger Mushroom Snake Swap? on: March 08, 2009 09:22:38 PM
Sounds like a cute swap! I like the idea (and the video...)
1813  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Mermaid Watercolors on: March 08, 2009 06:38:10 PM
I seriously love them both... favorite things: sailor's pants, first mermaid's face, second mermaid's tummy + the curved sea in the background.
Fantastic!

I finally got pictures of a shirt I reconed this year (craft #7), posted here:

I've also done two little matchboxes for a swap (craft #9), which I'll post when my partners receive. Smiley
1815  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Cirque du Soleil and Obama shirt recons! Pic ++, as usual. on: March 08, 2009 02:01:03 PM
I did these two a while ago, but I finally have access to a working camera! Yay!

OK, my grandfather got me this Obama 08 shirt back before the elections and I spiffed it out a bit with material from two other shirts. I even managed to line the bust area using one of the sleeves I cut off! Go me.
Shot of the back:

This next one I got quite a while ago at a Cirque du Soleil show in Boston (which was amazing of course), which is why I love it. But I thought it was asking for a bit of sprucing up, and I really like the fit of it now...

On one side, I put in a panel...

And on the other I took it in and added some appliqué. My only complaint here is that on this side, in order to preserve sleeve integrity, I had to add in this little triangle of fabric that looks out of place now. You can't see it most of the time, though.

Here's a close-up of the appliqué - I love this fabric!

Little shot of the back:

And finally a close-up of the collar. I put the original tag back in... just 'cause...

OK, thank you for enduring my pic-fever.

I really love how that shirt came out!
BTTF is awesomeness... I just made the man a mix CD titled "I am your density!" Cheesy

1818  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: The Princess Bride. Round 2. on: March 05, 2009 03:57:37 PM
I am still interested if we start crafting in April or later, and I'm fine with small swaps - better for me, as we just finished moving.
