I think I'm going to have to start a temporary wist - I haven't been able to log on to mine in a month, and I get absolutely no response from their support lines!

I claim Dawl for something wisty

1 claim outstanding, 0 in transit, 1 received

Hi! I live in Vermont, USA, and I have no allergies. I am a vegetarian, so please don't send me mass-produced leather or fur. Leather or bones you made yourself or got locally, humanely, is fine with me. Fur still creeps me out though. I'm 22 and am working my way through college with frequent stops along the way. I love joyful, colorful things and natural elements. I love trees and I love the sea, and most animals. I love circus themes, as well as Doctor Who, and Shakespeare. My tastes are rather broad. I love getting and making things with recycled materials, and I try to be green wherever I can.

Crafts:

Weekender bag, doesn't need to be fancy, I just want something to use for an overnight or two.

Musician dolls/stuffies/poppets, I have Dio and David Bowie from swaps and I want more! One foot tall max, please. Dio is crochet and Bowie is felt, so any medium is fine. Check out my last.fm for the music I like.

Large felted or recycled leather pirate hat, my captain's hat right now is just a cheapo costume store hat, and a captain's hat is her symbol of power! This is the one I have now, and I'd like something about that size.

Knit hobo gloves like these, with the beginnings of the fingers. This pair will be for my boyfriend, so little bit larger size.

Stenciled/drawn t-shirt, short or long sleeved or tank top, featuring a unicycle or vibram five fingers or a TARDIS.

Wall art, painted or quilted or drawn, in the theme of pirates, forests, or underwater.

Oversized tea/soup mug, with a comfortable handle.

Wallet, relatively flat so I could carry it into the store in my pocket, with a zipper pouch for coins.

Leather wrist cuff, this is for a friend of mine. Think bad-ass Rob Halford style. She is also allergic to most metals (sterling silver OK), so if there's studs or something they can't be rubbing against the skin.

Deerstalker hat, think Sherlock Holmes, in houndstooth fabric.

Turned wooden bowls, salad bowls or trinket bowls, I just love how it looks.

Hideaway book, you know those books that are hollow on the inside to store your valuables or what-have-you. I'd like one that wouldn't look out of place on my shelf, something with a pretty spine, not a modern novel.

A wisty suprise, except the stuffies. You can also use my etsy favorites for inspiration.

Supplies:

BIG WISH! Roving, I got my drop spindle from ifallthraindrops, and I love it! I need more things to spin.

Butterick Whirl Away dress pattern, any iteration (I think they re-released it? I'll take anything!)

Sewing bits and bobs, like zippers, buttons, colored thread, snaps, bobbins of elastic for shirring, some lightweight interfacing.

Pinking shears

Needle felting needles and some spare fibers if you have them.

Fabrics, I'm looking for two or three yards of flannel to line a jacket, I'd also like cottons (love stripes and damask), and second hand sweaters and blank t-shirts, any sizes.

Alphabet stamps for ATCs and altered journaling and Ink pads for stamps.

Sock yarn, self-striping would be fun, but I'll take anything! I'm just learning.

Grommet tool, I want to make some corsets so I want something that will hold up.

Ceramic markers, I want black but will take any colors

Second-hand floral print bedsheets.

Extras:

Teas! I especially love chamomile apple, orange, and peach. Caffeinated teas are welcome as well.
White hot chocolate
I love candy, but I won't eat gelatin. Send me your old starburst wrappers for my chain though!
The Scottie dog figurine from Monopoly
Sewing, quilting, fashion oriented magazines
Anything in a blueberry or melon scent/flavor

Thanks pixeval! Don't be intimidated, it's fairly simple in terms of technique. Here's the tutorial I used: http://www.craftstylish.com/item/33825/how-to-sew-a-fabric-bowl

And thank you RunningNaked! Your thoughts bring me strength. Wink

Well I guess I'll be claiming more fabric bowls then! I enjoy making them and I can listen to my radio shows at the same time, so no drawbacks that I can see! I made a separate post for them over here, along with another one I did for a personal swap.
