Failure? Are you NUTS!? I love it!! In fact, I saved the picture in my "ideas" folder  Grin

Those painted flowers are so beautiful. Did you make the beads or buy them?

Also, can we see a close up of the button necklace? I love the idea, buttons are for the win.

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Shell Flower Necklace and stuff on: June 08, 2009 05:07:00 AM
I made this necklace for a wedding I am going to this weekend.

The findings are silver sterling, flower pendant is made from a shell, and the beads are white and rose quartz. It is one necklace, I stranded the beads on thread and wove the threads into the chain. It was very easy and fast, it took me about 2 hours.

I also made a bracelet with the beads. I was going to make earrings out of two other shell flowers but I found my pearls went with it very well so I decided against it.

This is my first jewelry project, C&C wanted and welcomed!

5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: How does a craftster handle a bug? on: April 16, 2009 12:26:37 PM
Aww she's so cute!

That is not a cockroach. I don't know what it is, but it is not like any cockroach I've ever seen.

Anyway, I'm sure you wont get any diseases from this girl. She's harmless. They've got to be in your house anyway, they were probably there all winter and now you're seeing them look for mates.

Anyway, if you want the bug dead... next time you see a spider don't kill it. She'll eat the bug and then problem solved! Haha!

Forgotten yarn snippets scattered about the couch, or walking around with them on your shoulders.  Wink

Also, hand warmers. And hats. And scarves.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Natural fiber yarns? on: March 30, 2009 10:29:58 AM
What is the best natural fiber yarn for a large knitting project (i.e. blanket)?

I'm looking for something widely available/relatively inexpensive. Acrylic yarn makes me  Cry]

I've used peaches and cream, I'm wondering if there's something better.
