1  Doctor Who swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by Atellix on: February 04, 2013 06:50:02 PM
Hi everyone! I was just wondering if there was any other Doctor Who swap in the works right now. Would anyone else be interested in starting up a Doctor Who swap?

I got a totally awesome swap package from ehinders!

I got a Journal of Impossible Things pillow, a Tardis notebook (with a letter from the 11th Doctor, ma fav!), bookmarks, and a Tardis box containing a totally awesome bracelet!

A close-up of the pillow. I love the sketches of the Tardis.

A close-up of the awesome bracelet. It's got different pictures from the Journal of Impossible Things in the charms.

I freakin' love everything! Thank you so much ehinders! I hope you enjoy what I sent you as well!

I can't tell everyone how impressed I am with everyone's crafting talents. This is an amazing swap and I for one am proud to be involved.

A few orders of business:
(1) I've started leaving feedback. As soon as I've seen pictures posted from both partners, I'll be able to leave feedback.
(2) We seem to have an unintentional flaker. I understand that life gets in the way sometimes, but we need to press on. Don't worry Willowe, we'll find an angel for you. If anyone here is interested, I'll be making a posting at the angel board.
(3) I was delighted to find a gift from sillysmushyhippocake in my mailbox yesterday! Thank you for the wonderful thank you gifts! I love them! It's a Hobbes picture holder and an adorable Hobbes box, painted like our favorite stuffed tiger himself and with a valentine heart from Susie Derkins inside! Thank you so much! Smiley

I got an absolutely AMAZING package from sheriffkarli! Unfortunately I can't find my camera cord, so I've had to take a picture with my webcam.

I got an adorable plushie of Calcifer, a small sculpted Calcifer, an embroidery of Porco Rosso, and a Howl's Moving Castle shirt, with the wonderful wizard himself! The shirt fits perfectly. I absolutely LOVE EVERYTHING!  Grin

Thank you so much sheriffkarli! If you have better pictures, feel free to share. Smiley

I'm super happy to see that everyone is staying on top of checking in! You guys rock! And I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with for their partners! Smiley

Anyway, thought I'd share this fun picture with you guys. It's interesting that even though they're not in Watterson's style, you know exactly who they are.

And now, a comic! Smiley

LOL, that's an awesome strip, haroldlovesmaude! Cracked me up.

And good news! I've been recruited back into the ranks to swap after all, but it'll just be a little one. Smiley Thought I'd share a few more strips with you guys. The first one used to happen to me all the time when I was a kid and just left my clothes everywhere.

And I like this one because I'm working towards being a teacher, and I've had this exact situation happen with one of my students during practice teaching.

I have RECEIVED! *dances* Though I'm sure Usagai-chan has better pictures that she can share. My sister took it upon herself to borrow my camera and then lose the cable that connects it to my computer, so I had to take the picture with my laptop webcam.

Anyway, I totally love EVERYTHING! I got an awesome Psych shirt, fridge magnets of my favorite guys AND lots of pineapple jewellery with I will probably wear every day. The jewellery includes a bracelet, earrings, a necklace and cell phone charm (which is not in the picture because it's already on my cell phone  Grin ).

Thanks so much for everything Usagai-chan! I love it all! Feel free to share pictures if you have better ones.

AH HAH HA! I totally forgot about how awesome that one was. I keep thinking of all these great strips.

I'm becoming a teacher soon, so I remembered some of my favorite strips with Calvin being... well, Calvin. I always get a chuckle out of these, or any of the teaching ones. I've taught a few Calvins during my practice teaching. You often want to strangle them and shake their hand at the same time.

That's always the hardest part about these swaps is the waiting for partners. I share your pain. Smiley

I'm having fun seeing everyone's favorite comics! There's nothing like a good dose of Calvin and Hobbes!

This is another of my favorite comics. Anything that has to do with Calvin and writing usually, but I like this one especially since I thought about pulling this with my profs more than once when I had to write all of my undergraduate English papers.
