1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Re: Share a technique on: February 22, 2011 12:47:20 PM
I'm not sure if this is the right place, but if you cut your own ATCs  - this site shows how to get 10 ATC from a letter size (or A4) sheet.

or if you have 12" square scrapbook paper, you can get 16 ATCs and 4 inchies. Cut the 12" paper in 4 squares of 6x6 and cut it like this (not drawn to scale) with 4 ATCs around the edges and an inchie in the center

I love cutting my own ATC blanks... I have tons of scrapbook paper and am finding the prints make awesome backgrounds.

what a great little book... right now mine are in a binder in clear sleeves but this would be so much more fun... especially for a couple of larger swaps I've been in ... I could make a book for just those swaps...

I hold the card still in my right hand (I'm a lefty), and a pad of pigment ink in my left hand. I "scrape" the ink pad along the edges of the card, going a bit heavier in the corners. For this card, I used black ink, because of all the black already used in the card, but usually I use a brown ink for more of an aged look. I also used that technique in the hat band you see here, to give it more of a 3D look.

Thanks for sharing... I use a little ink square but I think an ink pad would get a more even effect

This is great.. I have a stash of old t-shirts (from school activities, work related, travels, etc...) I've wanted to make a quilt out of it but needed it to be useful... Thanks for sharing...
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Old shoe boxes given new life - now beautiful decoupaged craft storage! on: December 03, 2008 08:08:13 PM
Very pretty. I just used the last of my shoe box stash at church for the annual Operation Christmas Child... but seeing these gives me an idea for next year... If we decopage the shoe boxes before we fill them, the children could reuse the boxes to store things in...
