Ok thanks, I'll make the 14 as planned then. I'm going to make it as a top so it should be fine whatever, the fabric is a bit much for a dress. One day I'll learn to post pics so I can get my stuff on here instead of mostly lurking!

'Yeah, I made it myself'. Definitely what I could have done with when I was learning (although I was about 3 at the time so maybe not!).

I don't know if this is any help but I usually sub DK, I prefer the slightly lacier look it gives anyway and it usually works to the same size. I've never had any problems anyway. HTH.

I agree with squirrelypoo, I'm in the UK and I always use them. Fantastic service and cheaper than buying here even with shipping.

Oh, and sorry I didn't see in your post about making a skirt to go under. Top idea. I'll have a go at it tomorrow if I get time.
