1  Antique gramophone lamp! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by skylarC on: April 30, 2010 07:30:53 PM
Last year my boyfriend bought me a beautiful antique gramophone and two 1st edition Beatles vinyls via the internet.
Soon after opening my gift, we realize it's not ENTIRELY antique, and shortly after that, a weight breaks, and it no longer works. Sad
It's been sitting on my mantle looking pretty and serving no purpose.
I have a light bulb on the end of a cord that I ripped out of a broken floor lamp that my mom tried to throw out (SHAME!), and I've been using that to light the darker half of my living room.
Today I combined the two, and I really like the result.

First time posting a photo, so wish me luck, haha.
In other news, I need a digital camera so I don't have to use my web cam, haha.

(BTW, this is actually much prettier in real life. Beautiful detail on the copper horn, and a really pretty mahogany finish on the base.)
