1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / "Blue Willow" halter top & pant set on: November 05, 2008 08:53:08 AM
This was my very first attempt at sewing...anything.  The fabric reminds me of blue willow dishes.   Smiley

My model likes to stick her finger up her nose.   Roll Eyes
2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Just one more? Another patchwork skirt! on: November 05, 2008 08:45:27 AM
The skirt is made of post-it note sized squares.   It's on elastic so it'll grow with her a bit, I'll just have to change out the onesie.  The onesie in the picture was made by tracing a onesie she already had.
I love patchwork!  :-)

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Has anyone tiled over an existing laminate countertop? on: October 06, 2008 06:49:50 AM
If so, how did it work?  What should I consider as far as prep?  Any good tutorials out there that you might have used?

We can't replace our countertop (well, we don't want to pay for the new in our rental), but I got a ton of free white tile and would like to use it to tile over our existing countertop.

Thanks in advance!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Do you tag/label your pieces? on: September 11, 2008 11:31:53 AM
I'd really like to start, but I have no idea how to go about it.  Do you make your own tags, order them...or?  I found some online, but HOLY MOLY are they expensive.  Ridiculously so.   Undecided

I don't have a store or anything, so they'd just be labeled for posterity ;-) or the odd piece I make and give away, but I think they should be labeled somehow...

What do you guys do?

PS - I searched for tags & labels on the board, but no results - so I'm sorry if this has already been asked and answered!
