11  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My New Large Wallet on: August 22, 2008 12:00:21 PM
I really needed a new wallet, so I decided to experiment with some fat quarters I had from my stash.  Here's what I came up with:

The wood flower I found at a local beading store and thought it would make a perfect button.  Now here's a look of the inside:

It has six card slots, a money holder and a coin holder with a velcro closure.  Thanks for looking!

12  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Pencil Cases on: July 28, 2008 01:16:02 PM
Since I was in the back-to-school mode  Roll Eyes, I decided to make two pencil cases.  I just love the way they turned out and are so roomy... they measure each 6 1/2 x 9.  Thanks for looking!

13  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Backpacks I've Created on: July 28, 2008 01:07:12 PM
I saw this backpack tute in the Spring edition of Quilts and More magazine and I had to give it a try.  It was so easy to make, that I did a few more for my kiddos.  I boxed the first one, but for the second one I did not...  probably b/c they will be carrying larger stuff like folders, notebooks, etc. and I wanted to leave more room for that stuff.

Thanks for looking!
14  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Floral Bag on: May 21, 2008 09:10:44 AM
This is something I did recently using my own pattern.  I used medium weight floral fabric and solid brown fabric, and Pellon as interfacing.  The white flower is felt and I handstitched its border with pink embroidery thread.  I was thinking on eliminating it though (the flower)...  hmmm, but not sure about it.  What do you think?

TFL!

15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Cellphone/iPod Cozy & New Here on: May 06, 2008 08:39:29 AM
Hi everyone,

I am new here AND also new into bag making.  I am an addicted scrapbooker and cardmaker and for some reason I felt the urge to start making bags.  So here I am...  sharing one of my first projects.  I made it exclusively to carry & protect cellphones and/or iPods and its gadgets.

Here's the front view:

Here's the inside view:

And this is the rear view:

TFL!
