1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Spring-Ball Dress on: August 20, 2009 10:43:19 AM
Hey you crafters!
here is a slightly modified version of burdastyles Danielle.
the fabric is quite hard to fotograph, so imagine a colour between the two^^
there is an organza overlay and the pleats are artificial.

i tied the back because i can't afford a zipper, or better said, i was too mean ;-)

what do you think? worth a Jane Austen?^^ ( also made matching earrings with her profil.. and still search for useful action pics)
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / another piece of my blue-obsession... on: August 20, 2009 10:33:59 AM
I reconned this jacket during a 'youth-culture' festival in my town last year.
there was an offer about 2 month before that we could get send a jacket and were alowed to do with it whatever we wanted to! we were supposed to bring in to the festival and they would be displayed.
unfortunately it wasn't a contest and i got to know about the offen just 3 weeks before.
but i transformed the awful thing they send me to sth pretty, i would maintain...
if you want to know what i exactly did you may ask.
but in between see yourself:

a before pic:

I'm looking forward to get pics of the back as well

what do you think about it?
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / mid-blue velvet blazer i looove <3 on: August 20, 2009 10:05:14 AM
i've wanted a blazer like this (a little longer that usualy and with a slit in the back)
for a long time.
I modified the pattern and added pockets, lengthened it and made the wanted slit.
the pattern barely fitted on the piece of fabric i got fr 1 !!

i also made the corsage/corset underneath

c&c very welcome!

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / mango-inspired top on: May 24, 2009 08:15:03 AM
mango's version of this top was way to expensive.. and mine has got the better fit xP
i drafted a custom basic bodice block again

what do you think?
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / it has got the flow... shiny dress with pockets on: May 24, 2009 06:51:17 AM
thank god for the custom basic bodice block tutorial on burdastyle..
here's a dress i drafted out of it. it's the 2nd time i sewed the same dress because i can't wear the first in public xD (  a shiny champagner color for the confirmation of my sister).

by the way: it has got pockets <3
c&c much appreciated!
6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / not already again: new(ish) boyfriend gift ideas needed on: March 01, 2009 06:22:42 AM
give me a P, give me an A, give me a N, give me an I, give me a C...
all together now: PANIC!!

ok, actually it's just my problem.. or later one of my new bf.
We picked some quite inconvenient dates: 10th of February, anniversary
14th of February, Valentine's, 3rd March, his bday
so i have to invent one gift after another. unfortunately i'm already out of ideas!
do you have got some spontaneous ideas?

here some facts about him:
-he's turning 18 (which is the most important birthday where we live)
-he's in love with gliding (beside me;-))
-will soon get his driver's license (but presumable no own car)
-we're both still students
-he's a movie fanatic (but not into a special kind or cult film)
-even though we're officialy toghether since the 10th, we were some time before.. and before that we were good friends
-i can hand the gift to him next friday (6th)

I'm sure he will appreciate crafted items and I can't spend much money..
Could be helpful to know, what I gave to him for Valentine's:
a box of chocolates with a pralin collage on it and the inscription of the famous 'box of chocolates' quote out of forrest gump (don't know how it goes in english). but there weren't any chocolates in it but a wristlet and a little book ('guess how much i love you', it's a children's classic here in germany).

and I'm really sorry for annoying you with another post of this kind...
but I'm begging you for help!!

all the best wishes,
kamikazefliege
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / 'LAN-party survival kit' / help with a boys present on: December 06, 2008 01:40:05 PM
I'm really sorry for annoying you with another post of this kind...
but I already brainstormed a lot, flickered(?) threw the net and so on.
my problem is this: my new boyfriend and I don't know each other for such a long time.. but I'd looove to give sth to him on christmas day (actualy: before, he will be in holiday then). Nothing kitschy, pink, lovey-dovey, you know?
Another disadvatage of knowing-him-a-short-time: we don't have pretty much in common (inside jokes etc.) because we're quite busy. That's also a reason why he hasn't got many hobbies..

here some information:
-he's 16 (just like me)
-know each other since september, came together immediatly, split up for a while...and became a couple again;-)
-likes metal and rock music (don't now any details..)
-started a school education for IT-sth
-likes to go to LAN partys^^

the last fact made me think about a kind of 'LAN-party survival kit' Grin
ideas to fill it:
-coffeine products/enery drinks
-aspirin^^
-mousepad

that's all I got=(
that's why I try to get help from here (it's such a great community..respekt!)
can you think of anything to create such a kit or sth else or this boy? shouldn't be too personal..
aand: i can sew, knit, crochet, handle with polymer clay, beading, draw and so on.
I would be very grateful to advice..
greetz from germany

Ps: alternative: survival kit in cause his sister is cooking..

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / peter-pan-collared JJ Blouse on: August 11, 2008 08:05:50 AM
It's Burdastyle's JJ Blouse download pattern^^
I fell in loove with the sleeves but dislike the ruffles and stand up collar.
Instead of it I created a peterpan collar (and I am quite proud that it works)
Tadaa:

Actualy the fabric is dark-blue polkadotted, not black^^
It looks like rock'n roll to me, wouldn't you agree?
comments/criticism much appreciated!
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / white linen dress with pockets on: June 01, 2008 05:19:47 AM
It's made out of an old bedsheet, but in my opinion it's supposed to be posted on here!
The pattern is a very altered version of burdastyles Lydia (well, in the end there was nothing left of it...)
However, you can find pics here:

comments/criticism much appreciated!
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / black tulipskirt with pleats on: June 01, 2008 05:15:17 AM
