1  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: Cool Comfort Ties for Soldiers on: May 06, 2008 03:52:05 AM
I bought a nice big container of the stuff at LOWES. Home depot didn't carry it. It was something with the word moist in it. Just don't get the green kind. It as fertilizer in it. If I remember correctly (its in a box somewhere with craft stuff) Its about 4 inches high and has a blue lid.
2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: cloth pads=happy period on: May 05, 2008 05:15:41 AM
What I have found to work really well is the following. We don't have a washer and dryer. I don't have a ton of pads. So As soon as I sit down, I take it off and throw it in the sink and turn on the water so its running on it. I use the bathroom and throw a new one on. I rinse the pad quickly and then spray it with simple green. This stuff is FANTASTIC at getting all the stains out. I then let the pad sit with the SG on it until the next time I use the bathroom. I usually rinse the SG out after rinsing and spraying the previous pad. It sounds like a lot, but it really doesn't take more than a minute if that. I then hang them on our cool octopus hanger I got at IKEA. Once my period is done, I throw them in a load with towels.
