1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Pattern help needed on: June 17, 2010 07:09:21 AM
???I am in need of a pattern that would work to make this dress. It has a one shoulder under-dress which would be fairly simple, but how about the cape/poncho top? I of course do not need the bead work, but I like the look of the dress. If anyone knows a pattern that could work, please let me know.

Thank you! Smiley

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / help needed with a pattern on: November 21, 2009 11:27:20 AM
Does anyone know of a pattern that would be close to this style of coat? I have been searching, but to no avail. Please let me know. My son wants one for the holidays. I thought that I could make it for a lot less than the store wants. I hope that someone out there has some options on a pattern!

Thank you in advance.

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Help needed with one size fits all on: June 18, 2009 08:25:33 AM
http://www.shopbutterbynadia.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=19

I know how to make the infinity dress. I can alter the skirt to be fitted or circle. My question is this. On this website they say that this is a "one size fits all" dress. It goes from size 2 thru 16. How do you make it one size? Is that simply based on the fabric? Do you make the waist opening small enough for a two and yet the fabric stretchy enough for a 16? I am slightly confused.

If any of you can shed some light on this, it would help.

Thank you

6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Help with plus size skirt cutting on: June 13, 2009 10:36:32 AM
I have a skirt to create for a woman. The hip measurement will be 72 inches. How many inches would you add to the distance at the hemline of the this skirt? I was thinking 10, but I wanted to get a second opinion. I want it to be somewhat a-line, but not be too full for her. There is no pattern. Your ideas are welcome!
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Singer 150 dress form help, please on: June 11, 2009 04:13:13 PM
Hello,

I just got a Singer 150 dress form. It came with no instructions for adjusting it to fit a size. Can anyone explain to me how this works?

For example, if I want it to fit a 35 inch bust. How exactly do I set each of the four dials? It is confusing and frustrating.

I really hope that someone can help to explain this. I searched online and found nothing about it.

Thank you in advance. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you both. I was thinking of something similar to the first reply by soorawn and I think that may work the best for this project. However, I have to say that those flowers in the second reply by Ludi are beautiful and I am very happy to have that to add to my ideas!

10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Need some advice on how to make this on: June 11, 2009 10:26:25 AM
Hello,

I am making this adorable skirt. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to go about making the little flowers at the top. They will be made of chiffon. Do you have suggestions, tips, tricks, or places with instructions? Please let me know. They are so pretty and delicate.

Thank you in advance.
