Could it hold your straight knitting needles in it Smiley?

3  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Mrs. Weasley Sweater KAL from Charmed Knits on: May 21, 2008 03:05:06 PM
Thanks for the tip D.I.Y.-ish!

is the back supposed to look like a giant rectangle with some live stitches at the top for the neck? I've never done a sweater without sloped armhole shaping...I ma hoping its right.

In other news I finished the back!!!

(By the way...I'm Grace, and Claire and Kirstyn are the two knitters working on this as well.)
Claire and Kirstyn are both somewhere before the halfway point on the back.  Roll Eyes.
4  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Mrs. Weasley Sweater KAL from Charmed Knits on: May 18, 2008 03:10:35 PM
So I have seen A LOT of Harry Potter type KAL's but none specifically for the Mrs. Weasley Sweaters.
So I'm starting one! (let me know if there is another one going on!)

Here is a link to the pattern to get started!
http://www.canadianliving.com/crafts/knitting/knit_a_harry_potter_sweater.php

(Technically there are three of us already knitting this, I'm just the one posting  Grin)

Our group of three decided after "serious" research that Cascade Ecological wool and Eco+ are the best and most budget friendly (for us anyways.)

Also we'd like to put our own initials, instead of the "H" in the pattern. Anyone know where we could get the charts for duplicate stitching the alphabet? (None of us are experienced enough to do the intarsia)

We cast on this afternoon and are at various stages on the back ranging from an inch to 3 inches. PLEASE JOIN US!
5  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Mrs. Darcy KAL on: May 04, 2008 02:12:38 PM
I casted on over a month ago and felt incredibly accomplished when I had finished the back, and both fronts in 3 days. Then I found my left side was actually another right side. I frogged it and set it aside, but finding this KAL has inspired me to push through and finish! I am almost done with the scoop neck decreases on the (proper) left side.

will post pictures soon!
