err it was a craft knife thing, I'm not sure it's actually meant for crafts but I wanted to try papercutting and I didn't want to have to buy stuff, so I just used what I had in the house.
cheap crafting is the best 

also, interesting point, I can't draw, but I had no probelm cutting the paper shapes - for some of them I tried practicing drawing them first but it was much easier just diving in with the knife on the paper. has anyone else found this? I thought it was odd...

The best I can come up with is "activités manuelles"... any advice? I would rather not be specific, like saying "la peinture" or "la couture", for example...
