These look great - modern colors with an old-fashioned block style. And I think the bias binding looks fine; I've done that on baby quilts too! I've done elaborate machine quilting on baby quilts and then found the parents using the quilt as a doggie bed or something - I'm obviously a dog lover LOL - but I vowed to not spend that much time on quilted gifts unless I am SURE the person will understand the effort. Yours are just right - lucky friend in so many ways!
These are lovely! I'm a collage-novice so this may be a simple question but did you do something to outline the various parts of the samurai collage? It's as if there is a thin lighter line around each element.
I used to make and alter clothes for special needs adults. What I'd remember is that folks who are always sitting need pants that are disproportionately long from the back waist to the back hem. Does that make sense? Pants patterns already build in a curve for our butts but this is more than that and needs to extend the length of the leg as well. And the pants front from waist to crotch can be cut down to reduce bulk when the person doesn't stand.
