1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Giant Ruler- Height Chart on: October 22, 2013 11:16:29 AM

I saw this project idea and knew I wanted to make this for my daughter's bedroom.  All I needed to make this was a board I got at the local Lowes, black paint marker, # stencils which I found online, and a yardstick.  Enjoy!

Awwww I miss my whippet...  Sad
I would love to give this pattern a try... did you have to make any adjustments to the broad chest/tiny tummy area?

I didn't make any adjustment.  I measured her chest against that of the pattern and for her it worked fine.

Maces- The sizing for me turned out to be great.  The only thing I extended the size on was the collar which I added about 1 in. in length so that it would cover her ears.  I am going to have to see about that Simplicity 3667 and possibly make my girl into a dinosaur for Halloween Smiley.

Yes, I extended the neck part about an inch so it would cover her ears also.

Thanks for all the kind words!

gigglygirl- She loves clothes.  She walks, runs, plays, and sleeps in her clothes.  She gets so excited when I have a shirt of hers in my hand.  I call her the clothes hound Smiley.

erdbeerblau- I first put her head in, then her front legs, and then her hind legs.

Here in upstate NY, the winters get a bit cold especially if you are a 9 lb. dog without an ounce of fat and only a light coating of fur.  I have gone into many of the chain pet stores but I refuse to pay the price they ask for these cold weather clothes.  I found the answer to my problem in the pattern section of the nearest fabric store.  The pattern is from Simplicity #3939.

Butterfly

Periwinkle (though in pics it looks more blue)

Enjoy and have a great day!
