2203  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sealing shrinky dinks? on: June 19, 2008 02:36:38 PM
Thanks for the advice!  I should have said, most of the pieces were colored pencil, not marker.  I gave them two days to settle into themselves, then went ahead with the nail polish.  (I was impatient, and broke, and they're dark, so I figured if they didn't turn out, I'd just keep them for myself and make a second set for the receiver), and they actually turned out okay.  They definitely have a "front" and "back", but I'm definitely planning on making more!  If I use markers, though, I'll definitely seal with an actual sealer.

so you used pencils and sealed it with clear nail polish? And it didn't ruin the piece? ( I'm asking this because I don't quite understand what you are saying here Smiley )

I have just a small question, maybe you could help me Smiley
If I make shrinky dinks they come out all bubbeled (I turned it so it would "Bubble" the other way but it came out bubbled on this side and on the other side ... -_-' ) (the oven is at 180 or 200 degrees) Am I doing someting wrong?

2207  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Gothic Lolita Dress: Straps or no straps? on: May 01, 2008 10:58:42 AM
I'd say straps like the ruffle thingies, but I you don't like you can add strapps you van take of (I couldn't find the word but now I know, REMOVABLE!!) so when you want the straps you go with straps, when you don't you go strapless Wink
btw LOVE IT!!!
