Inspired by this and the other fabric hair curlers post, I made some for my sister Angela's 29th birthday... using the link provided, I followed her directions sortof... being a hairdresser, I have the advantage of knowing what size rollers work where, so I made 5 large/long rollers and 4 small/short ones to accomodate the layers in my sisters hair... I used sew on snaps as the securing agent for the rollers, and tied then sewed the green ribbon on to crimp the middle part. I also sewed the ribbon onto the gift bag... Please excuse the gross carpeting in the photos!

So instead of paying upwards of $10 per for a little shirt that I could have made myself, I decided to make my soon-to-be twin boys (August) tough guy shirts... I used dark iron on transfers on the white shirts to get the light colors to show up...
Featured are Sinatra (probably licensed... I would never sell these, so I am not worried), Jimmy Cagney and my husbands all time favorite Carl Perkins (all pictures were from google images)...

I am beyond thrilled to have found this amazing site--and am super excited to show some of my most recent paper craft projects... This is my first post, so please bear with my sideways photos!!

First project:  Used an old clipboard, covered with scraps of construction paper, and used some photos of my all time favorite dysfunctional couple to adorn... I am needing to laminate the whole front, but my idea was to use up stuff I had piling up...


Second(ish) project: Envelope Books (aka coupon/receipt books)... I borrowed the idea an older post idea of using Money envelopes, but had none, so I used the envelopes left over from my wedding invitations (I got 100s more than I needed) to create little books (glued envelopes together with construction paper) for coupons, household receipts etc..


Third project: Pin Up Notebook... I am a notebook addict, so I decided to collage the ugly cover with "slip photos" taken from an old greeting card, plus cut outs from several 1940s magazines... I laminated the pictures with packing tape...
