after ruby's post of Der Golden Schnitt, I was reinspired to look for old copies of lutterloh's books. I have two more modern copies but hadnt been able to get my mitts on a really old copy. This one (i think) is from 1947 i picked it up on Ebay for cheap. Im loving the pictures, and im SOOOO excited to begin making myself some clothing. I can definately see me wearing some of these, especially some of the skirts, with a bit shorter hem line of course . Anyway, on to pics

So yeah, second time is the charm, le sigh. Anyways. We moved into this apartment a year and a half ago. At the time we just needed someplace to live, I had moved into the boyfriends apartment 6 months before and stuffing two peoples stuff into a one bedroom apartment wasnt cutting it!! (my boyfriend keeps telling me I have too much stuff, I tell him he just doesn't understand stash) When I was looking at this apartment, the apartment lady kept going on and on and on about the 'accent walls' and how lucky we were to get them and how lucky we were that they were free because usually they are 50$ a month each. uh... i dont think so anyways, once we moved in, I just didn't do anything with it. It was great, it was a very dark bland room and this wall (and the other one) added some spice!! the other wall is pretty much covered up with bookcases and tv/stand but this one was the first thing you see coming in the door and it taunted me. (hgtv addiction i hate you) I have lived on my own before but never really decorated (unless you count hanging all my (admitedly pretty) purses on the wall (and I dont:D) (yes, I love parenthesises .. its just fun to say isn't it!!) So when I saw Crafty Amanda's paintings (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=372174.0), I went GAGA. I copied EVERYTHING, though I made my canvases a bit bigger, cause damn that wall is huge!! (yay painting btw, I don't paint, i mean I haven't touched a paint brush in a situation that didn't involve someone under 5 since elementary school!! but man this was fun!! so yeah, enough talky and on to the linkage!!

My boyfriend loves them!! I love them too!! I think I even got some bonus points from the boy!! So loads and loads and loads of thanks amanda for posting!! Im sending some bonus points to you!! ( I have to keep some for when i spend too much on valentines day ... hehe)

Was frusterated cause i made a dress today that tanked.. was awful, made me sad, so i made some pillows, then the wind outside got really really loud and i realized i have to go to work tomorrow and i made this scarf thing in the circle scarf vein.... makes my head warm.. good stuff...

I love these shoes!! These were supposed to be my 'experiment' shoes, to see if 1) it worked and 2) they would stay on my feet. But wow.. I love them.. My boyfriend even said they looked good.. and "not very homemade" lol.... I wore them out, and I wish I could wear them all the time!! Next up, infinity flats!!

Made this placemat purse and organizer for my mom for mother's day. Found everything at Goodwill.. tho.. I think my Goodwill is expensive here.. anyone else pay 5 for shirts 7 for dresses and shoes..?? Anyways, The placemat was cheep, 79 cents. The fabric for the organizer was a table runner type thing that just said "make me an organizer" the first time I saw it.. Who was I to argue? I mean, its weird enough that its talking to me, let alone arguing with it..  Stay with me till the end, I got a question for you purse geniuses

purse, OK so I cheated a little bit and got the handles and ribbon at Hobby Lobby... ssshhhh...

So this is my question for you experienced purse people out there, this is how I connected the handles. It seems to hold OK, and the threading doesn't show very much from the outside, but ... well.. I'm OCD and it bothers me.. its a bit crooked, and two lines like that doesn't seem very attractive... though, like I said, you can't really see it.. How would you guys attach it? Hand sewing it to the lining occurred to me, but I was worried it would rip, and probably distort the bag while being carried... Anyways, gimme some advice, I'd rather do it right than be right.... Thanks in advance
