1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Elizabeth Bennet Zombie Slayer costume ideas? on: October 23, 2009 02:16:59 PM
Halloween is almost here and I just figured out what I want to be! Oy! Roll Eyes

One day at work I saw the new adaption of Pride and Prejudice ( now with zombies!) and I love the idea of Elizabeth defending her home and family against the unholy, undead horde! The bad thing is is that I really don't know how to start. Tall riding type boots and breeches or a long empire dress with a ton of era appropriate weapons? any help would be wondermous!
2  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: Project Joy Boots (scholarship and donation to Animal Shelter!) on: May 23, 2009 09:11:38 AM
Hi to all crafty people!

I am here to update on Project Joy Boots! It has been a whole year and 2 1/2 months since our friend left this earth, and everyone who knew her misses her more than I can say. BUT, we have made alot of headway, in getting a scholarship permanently endowed in her name... more than 2/3rds of the way there! It takes $15,000 to make it happen and with the efforts of probably hundreds of people, we are over $9800!

We still have a ways to go though, especially if we want to keep going with the project after we get the scholarship set up. We also want to pose a slight problem to all of the good samaritan crafters here. What else can we do with the them of painted rainboots? We are seriously thinking of buying a button maker so we can sell them, and create publicity... but what else? Any ideas we would be eternally grateful for!

Your friends,

The PJB Girls

He is a gorgeous little dragon plushie! I also express great interest in the pattern! It would be to make like a little Hungarian Horntail (HP) or Saphira (Eragon) plushie!
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: steampunk doo-dads on: December 18, 2008 08:24:37 AM
Those are phecking rad!

I love Steampunk, though not as much as my friend and she would probably go all googly eyed over them!

Guys who paint their nails are non-conformist and a little hot to me! so rock on!
