11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Jar of Whimsies 7? on: November 16, 2009 02:43:37 PM
What do you think? Yay or nay?

I have been collecting whimsies all day for a potential round 7!
12  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Oh what to do, what to do...flaker issues on: October 06, 2009 11:45:47 AM
Okay, so here is the situation...

I have a crafter in my swap who has poor communication. Maybe posted once in the thread in the beginning. About 2 weeks before send outs I extended the sendout date by 2 weeks. The original send out date arrives and I get a PM from this member saying that she is not done and that she is going on a trip to Disney World and will send when she gets back. I had to kindly tell her that 2 weeks earlier I had changed the send out date. So, she obviously hasn't been watching the boards.

The new sendout date comes along. I get messages from everyone that they sent or are sending late...nothing from her...another day passes...nothing.  I noticed in her profile that she hasn't been on since the 28th of Sept when send outs were the 2nd of Oct. I send her a friendly pm telling her that I was wondering what her status was...nothing. Days have passed and it is now the 6th. She hasn't been on for 1 week 1 day.  I talked to her partner and she said that she also hasn't heard anything from her. I sent her another PM. Still nothing.

Luckly her original partner was a few days late, enough time for me to stop her from sending.

My question is, when exactly can I consider her a flaker? I know it is 2 weeks, but she hasn't been online since days before the send out date. If I go 2 weeks from that day I can put up an add for a replacement in 6 days.
13  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Animal Crossing - Dizzy! on: October 05, 2009 08:30:11 PM
Here is an amigurumi I made of "Dizzy" that I sent girlwithapurl for the Animal Crossing Rd.2 Swap.

This is the first time I have had to make an ami look like something that already exists.

Thank You for looking!

15  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Etching Press HELP! on: September 04, 2009 10:57:14 PM
Okay so I am in need of an etching press. I work small so I only need a small one that will allow for about a 4x6 piece of Plexiglas. I also would like a table top one. I would love to buy used as a cheaper route but I am also willing to buy new. I just don't want to spend a fortune on a hobby, you know?

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thank You!

Details of swap:
Do you like to find presents in the sky, window shop while Tom Nook chases you down, get bit by mosquitoes, and eat only fruit & candy? Do you like to live with Animals? Or maybe you live like one! Either way, this swap is for you!

This is a 6 point swap (in any combination) open to all of the Animal Crossing games. This includes "Animal Crossing"(GameCube), Animal Crossing: Wild World (Nintendo DS), and Animal Crossing: City Folk (Wii). Luckily all of the games are very similar so if you get paired up with someone who does not have the same version as you it shouldn't be a problem.

Included in the swap is an option to trade Friend Codes with your partner. You can either use this to make a new friend, explore their town for custom crafting purposes or both! *Please do not post your codes here. If you would like to trade with someone then please PM them instead*

Requirements:
You MUST use a DC# when shipping and give it to your partner as well as me. Please post in the gallery what you received in a timely fashion. To me, a week is too long for your partner to wait to see how you liked your package. They work very hard on them and deserve the curtsey of you to at least acknowledge their time spent. Also, it would be helpful to contact your partner and me if you are planning on going away on vacation (ect.) without internet for communication purposes. Note: If you cannot meet these requirements, then do not sign up for this swap. I want this to be a nice, smooth, enjoyable swap for everybody.

18  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My Panda Hat and MittenScarf! on: May 27, 2008 05:23:00 PM
I made them a while ago but I still love them, so I figured I would share! Not too bad for my first real sewing project.

This is my Panda Hat and MittenScarf...

Here is a view to see how the "mittens" work.

Some eye detail.

I made these out of fleece as fleece is AMAZING to work with.

I also made a Stitch set for Gatorwrangler in a swap.

Hope you enjoy!

19  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Bunny Pin Cusion on: May 27, 2008 05:12:45 PM
Hi!  This is my first posted project!

This is my bunny pin cusion!  I made it out of fleece. I think fleece is heavenly to work with so that's why I chose it.  Im not sure how the colors are coming out on your computer but it is light pink, with rose pink plaid ears and nose.

Hope you like!
