June of PlanetJune also has some great tutorials, and I believe every one of them includes instructions for lefties. http://www.planetjune.com/blog/tutorials/

Aw, that's awesome! Tacky but awesome. Wink I think it would make an awesome reusable grocery bag! I personally don't mind packing my groceries in the craziest bags possible. It's not really a purse so it doesn't have to match your own style. Smiley
6  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: ACTIVE: January GRANNY-A-DAY crochet a long! starts NOW! on: January 21, 2011 11:09:40 AM
I'm back! Smiley I couldn't stay away from crochet for a WHOLE WEEK, so on Day 3 I went desperately in search of a cure. I found a very helpful thread on Ravelry about icing for short periods of time, frequently, and that has helped a ton! My wrist still clicks a bit, but it's hurting much less and no more numbness Smiley So yay.

Finally bought my background color for Mario and was able to finish the top row (14 squares) and most of the blue squares for Row 2 (7 squares) in the past few days. I already had the top of his hat done, so 3 more squares and I'll have two completed rows! I've decided to go a full row at a time instead of trying to do Mario first then the background -- all one color gets boring after a while! Smiley Also, I'm definitely finding that weaving in ends as I go and sewing them together every 2-3 squares is helping in the long run. It keeps things a little more interesting, saves my wrist a bit, and helps me feel like something is "done."

Oh, that's so sad! They don't know what they're missing. Sad It's too bad they couldn't reschedule with all the hard work that goes into it every year. Can't wait to see what you came up with! Smiley Teeny dinosaurs sound adorable!

I also made an elephant and turtle this last season, though I didn't get pics before I gave them to my little nephy for Christmas. I have all of your How Bazaar threads bookmarked for when I need some inspiration for a little project. You're amazing! Smiley Did you do another bazaar this past holiday season, or are your boys out of elementary school now?

Kittymom, that is beautiful!

Well, I finally counted up my squares last night and I'm up to 31/252. Not stellar, but I technically have one for each day in January. *lol* I'm hoping to be able to move faster next time I start work on it, but I'm imposing a 1-week break on myself from crochet, mouse-using and hand-sewing. I have seriously messed up my wrist/hand/tendons with over-use and I do not have money for surgery. So I need to take it easy for a bit. What will I do with myself?? I felt so lost last night, watching TV without something crafty in my hands. Must go to the library and pick up some books!

Will try to post a pic of my Mario-strips thus far, soon Smiley
