This is my first time using Armour Etch...it's AMAZING!  I love it.  a lot.

These glasses are for my brother and sister-in-law for christmas.  my whole family is full of super nerds, and my brother loves Mario a whole bunch.  I think they turned out pretty nicely for my first time   a couple of corners on the shroom got messed up a bit when the cream leaked into them, but i think it looks okay anyway.

I am sooo excited about my costume this year....SHE-RA!!! YAY! 
anyway, it took me a week to figure out what to be because i have no money to spend on silly things like a costume so i only had the fabric i had at home   i wanted so badly to have a Starfleet uniform!  but then i found my prom dress that had been sitting in my closet for almost 4 years now, scrunched in a lonely ball, sad this is my first reeealll recon (i usually just do minor changes for fit and stuff)

It only took me 2 days, yay.  oh, and ps, dont worry, i didnt like my prom dress.  it was 20 dollars 3 days before prom...it was all that was left.  my mom was going to make it, but she had some personal stuff to deal with. 

Here's how i did it!  first i ripped the bodice from the skirts to take the 2 layers of tulle off.  then i ripped out the zipper and flipped the bodice inside out so the outside of the dress was all the same fabric and put the zipper back in.  then i hemmed it.  pretty simple!
For all the gold stuff i just used some brown felt-backed vinyl i had laying around and spray painted it gold.  then i used a lot of hot glue, lolz!

..my arm bracer things are held on with packing tape, and the headband is held together with staples....classy, i know.

So i went to the Bristol Ren Faire again this year   it was so awesome! we went on Gay Day so there were some pretty rad costumes lol.
anyway, every year i make a new bodice to go with my skirts.  the skirt fabric was like a dollar a yard when i got it so i want to use them as much as possible so my costume stays cheap   so the skirts are the same as last year but i made a new bodice and a new chemise.  i like them better than last years, they fit a lot better.  (here's last year's costume: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=266797.0

i used a pattern, i forget which one...but i modified it quite a bit.  i had to make it a lot longer and i had to change all kinds of stuff to make it lace in the front because it wasnt supposed to (yikes!)  i made 3 mock ups before it was right.  but putting the finished piece together only took about 2 days   it was definately a much easier pattern than last years, even with the modifications i had to make.

and here's this years costume!  we didnt get nearly as many pictures this year, so i dont have super good pictures oh well

this is my favorite necklace i've ever made.  its not much, but i luuurrves it!  i used huuuuuge citirne beads and wire wrapped them and a couple metal beads and the rest is carnelian.  .....im not really sure what else to say about it.    hmmmm..

anywaaayyyys, here it is!!!  it's much prettier in person, and suuuper heavy!

I've been wanting to start decorating hair combs lately, but when i went to joanns today, they were all out   so when i got home i decided to take a stab at making them...
It's kind of not good, but its only my first one and ive never made one before.  aaaand most of the ugly will be covered up once i decorate it
It kind of hold loose hair back, but not really.  it works really well in hair thats already pulled back, which is how i'll wear it anyway, so it doesnt matter that it doesnt hold back loose hair
I'll be making a bunch more til i can get them too look nice.

I didnt have any flat wire stuff like the store-bought ones use for the top ,but i made do with 16gauge wire i had lying around..and the prongs arent all the same length (but pretty darn close).  either way, i think it turned out fairly decent for my first one.

I made this wire tree for my sister for christmas and am just now getting around to posting it, lol!  I've been asking her for some pics of it since i gave it to her and i managed to snap a couple while i was cat sitting for her this weekend. 
I used 24 gauge wire...i bought 2 spools of 25 yards? i used almost all of it.  It was waaaaaay easier than i expected and i want to make a couple more but i just havent gotten around to it yet   unfortunately, it wasnt finished when i gave it to her...it still needed to be mounted on a rock, so we picked one up when i went with her to buy some fish.  but its finished now! and i think its so lovely!

I saw a couple trees like this somewhere on here and did some research and found Sal Villano's website.  It's amazing.  I used the tutorial on there. you can download it for like 10 bucks...totally worth it!

For christmas, my best friend got me a ticket to go with her and her mom to see Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance!!!!!  so of course i had to make something new to wear to it tonight!

I used Mccall's 5466 view c.  but i left off the sleeves.  i also used a knit fabric instead of the recommended cotton, linen or wool.  it was my first time sewing with a knit fabric, i think i did pretty well though    aaand i added a dense woven fabric under skirt.  its the same fabric as the tie at the waist.

oh, i also made my jewelry, too.  but thats for a different topic...

lately i've been in a really creative mood, but unable to think of new cute ideas for things to make   so tonight i just sat down and whipped this out without really thinking.  it turned out surprisingly well!  
It's made of mostly wood beads and theres a bit of bamboo jasper in there.  the pendant is made of bone, im pretty sure.  it wasnt labeled but it was next to all the other bone pendants in the store.. 

The pics are a little washed out, the beads are a bit darker in person





also, i made these earrings at 2:30 in the morning the other day, nothing special, just thougt i'd share .....i made a matching necklace but it's really messy and im not so proud of it, so i wont share that, lol!

I just recently got into wire wrapping, so i'm not very good at it yet.  my favorite to make is earrings...they're soooo easy!     I made this stuff near the end of december and last week. 
this is only about half of what i've made...the other stuff i'm going to try to sell.  aaaannnddd my mom and i just bought a little over $160 worth of beads today...so there's going to be soooo much more soon, lol!

on to the pictures!!!  my brother is a photographer and he's teaching me how to take nice pictures, so some are good and others aren't so much, lol.  im still learning!

this is my favorite thing i've ever made!!  I'm so proud of it.  it took me an hour and a half maybe.. 
i used sterling silver wire and glass tear drop pearls and clear glass seed beads.  it's from a jewelry book my mom bought for me.  sorry, i dont know the title
