21  Re: so many trinkets! no idea what to do with them!!!!!! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by lylacfey on: October 14, 2009 12:55:05 AM
I am drooling, literally drooling. Disown your Mother, lol. Two words: Whimsy Swap. You have so many pretty treasures. You can do all the above posts, make jewelry, glue them on boxes and then store your treasures in the boxes.

Your Mom might be a lot like me and she just hates clutter and looking at it. I am a whismy lover who hates, absolutely hates clutter.  I keep all my whimsies stored in pretty boxes and jars. Here's an example:

The top shelf is all whimsies. Maybe if you could store them and rearrange them a bit she would let you keep them. Do a good decluttering of them so you will know what are your treasures and what is pure junk.

22  Re: Jar of Whimsies 6 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by lylacfey on: September 30, 2009 10:38:13 PM
I received my package. Aiki no need to be nervous. I love everything and as you say I was going raccoon. Cheesy!

I waited for my mail lady to bring my package. I had a whopper of a migraine when the mail lady ring the doorbell. I was seeing triple of everything. I couldn't open my package. Sad I was so sad.

We have bad storms moving in tonight. I always get a migraine when the weather is going to be tornadic. I will be chasing tomorrow. Smiley

This is pic heavy. DH took the pics and some of them just suck. We have a new camera. If you want me to take them again let me know. We are still trying to learn it.

Aiki- I LOVE EVERYTHING!

First my Jar:

Aiki made me a crochet watermelon bag. Isn't it beautiful? I had it on my wist. I squealed in delight when I saw it in the package. Aiki I love it so much, Thank you.

My handmade items:

Oh my gosh! Look at my new babies and beautiful crochet work. I am in love. She made me an octopus. How funny is that Aiki. Great minds think alike, lol.

I really love my babies. I study Opera. I told Aiki that my favorite Opera is Tristan & Isolde. She named my Octopi Tristan & my Owl Isolde. If you know anything about the Opera or have seen the movie which is based on the Opera I think an Octopus and Owl are perfect for both characters. I will treasure my babies always. I can't stop hugging them. I am using my beautiful crochet piece as a doily. I love it.

I am not done yet. I know a book, I'm sorry but I am excited. Look it's patterns:

Not any ol' patterns. Patterns from my birth year. Thank you Aiki. I love them. They are my style. I am in love with the coat. I am wanting to make it right now. My DH wants to see me in those dresses. Smiley I love 70's clothes. These kinds not bell bottoms, lol.

Next we have my whimsies:

I have a better picture of the Gnome song book for my favorites. I about cried when I saw it. I delved right into it. I actually sing those songs when I sing to young children.

I am Danish/Russian so Gnome lore is big part of my upbringing. Of course music. This book really touched me. Thank you Aiki.

Look at the rest of my whimises. Aren't they the best? I love the seeds. Thank you. I garden a lot. I love the candle holder. It's my style and perfect. I can't wait to put a candle in it. I love the wolf punch. Thank you!

There is the sweetest gargoyle in the whimsies but he didn't come out in the pic right. I just adore him to pieces.

These are my favorites:

I forgot to include my candle holder & gargoyle. It does not go without saying my Octopi & Owl are in there too. My cat was being a drama queen when I was arranging things so my hubby could snap pics.

Thank you for a great Whimsy swap Aiki.

My partner received. I am posting picture's for her. Poor girl her modem died. That is a disaster in my home. Cheesy!

I made everything except the sticker's. I used my Cricut and Cuttlebug. Plucky I said it was all Cricut forgive me there is Cuttlebug too. I pieced all of these together so that is why I was like "Oh, I hope they don't lose my envie. I hope the PO get's my envie to her." LOL.

Here are the pics. plucky is really into tropical so I themed her swap:

Pic 1:

Pic 2:

Pic3:

Some of her die cuts I did fancy and others I left plain so she could embellish them her style.

Thank you for the fun swap. I am definitely in for the next round.

I received today from plucky1_08. DH took the picture since I had a raging migraine. If anybody wants to see anything closer just holler.

Here's all my treasures:

I think my partner wisted me. I love, love, love my owl bookmark. It is so cute and my DH took a horrid pic of it. Thanks a lot dude, lol. He is the best hubby in the world so I will forgive him. Smiley

I love everything but my favorites are my bookmark, cute band aid stickers, & watch sticker's.

Funny story: After my DH took the picture. He put everything back in my envie. Plucky decorated the envie so cute. My cat absolutely adores red ribbon. She could care less about other colors. She comes up to me an hour later and puts the red ribbon in my lap, lol.  Least she gave it back.

Let me know if you want me to post better pics. I am so sorry about the migraine. I was so ill all my pics would have been a blur.

25  Re: Jar of Whimsies 5 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by lylacfey on: May 27, 2009 02:43:08 AM
See above post, lol.  I received my whimsy package from leashhh today.  She really outdid herself.  I am having swap anxiety.

This is pic heavy.  I could not leave anything out. Smiley I would like to warn I am not the best photographer.  I also went through my package before I took pics.  Slapping my hand, lol.  I put it back together the best I could.

Here's the package itself. Everything was packed in this sweet little Hello Kitty bag, including the jar.

Hello Kitty Whimsies:

Look at all this beautiful Hello Kitty goodies.  I was flabbergasted.  The second picture all the HK items were packaged in this sweet jar.  I adore the Hello Kitty pins & bracelet.  The pins are finding their way to my denim jacket.

The whimsies:

You can't see them very well but she sent the sweetest little mini turtles.  I adore the Dr. Seuss quote book.

Paper Crafting goodies:

I could not believe it when I opened the bag & I saw all this beautiful Martha Stewart paper goodies.  Thank you so much leashhh.  I am a punch addict & I love to stamp. I am still agog about it. Smiley

I adore the stickers.  Thank you.  I love the Jolee's stickers.  I horde mine for my special journaling pages.  Thank you again.

My whimsies that were in the jar:

I love every single thing.  I mean I really love it.  I can't stop playing with it.  This is after my hubby stopped playing in the jar. Smiley

I am not done.  The handmade items:

I love the polymer clay figurines.  I love every single one of them especially the pie.

I adore my carved stamps, especially the cupcake.

This is what made me scream when I saw it.  I wanted one of these so bad, ever since I have seen them over here.

KOOL AID BAG!  I was so excited.  Thank you!  I keep admiring it.  I do not really buy the package drinks & I have no clue why.  Oh, I was coveting the packages to make my own bag.  Thank you again.  I can't wait to take it shopping.  I know all the stores that I shop in the girls are going to be so jealous.  I am not joking.  I really love it.

My favorites:

Everything was my favorite.  From the Martha Stewart treasures to all the Hello Kitty items.  I loved every single thing.  These really tugged at my heart.  I can't say enough about my Kool-Aid bag.

I have a fondness for gray cats.  I love/obsessed with gnomes. I love the hippy stamp.  I have been coveting polymer clay food for the longest time.  The beautiful butterfly crystal pendant was too much.  I can't stop admiring it & I am making it into a necklace.  Don't laugh but the turtle pencil toppers were just it, lol.

Thank you so much leashhh.  It was a great package for my second swap that is technically my first big swap. Smiley  You were a great partner.

I hope you love yours just as much.  I feel like I did not live up to your beautiful package.

Since we all have helpers here are mine.

The gray kitty is my angel Gemma.  She is still a kitten about nine months old.  Apparently she believes because the box says fragile it means her too.

The white furbaby is my beautiful Ladybug.  We all call her Bug for short because she is always bugging you for attention. Smiley

I have better pics at my Photobucket account. If you want to take a peek.

27  Re: Valentine's Classroom Card Exchange in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by lylacfey on: February 16, 2009 04:52:27 AM
BooGirl, I am so glad my card found it's way to you.  You have a nice neighbor.

I had DH take photos of all my cards.  My camera is still acting wonky. He accidentally included a card my Mom made.  It's the heart & bird one in the last pic.

He took them in groups.

Here's all the beautiful cards I received:

Thank you all so much. I love each & every one of them.  This has truly been the most fun swap I have ever been in. I can't wait to do another one.
