Lovely bolero!  And add me to the list of people who also can't make it through a gaming night without crafting.  Cheesy
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Craft with a Fat Quarter Swap Gallery (SO 4/18/11) on: May 05, 2011 07:25:22 AM
I received this lovely package from clementinefairy earlier this week!  This is the whole thing: an organizer, a tea wallet, a bookmark, a coaster, and two fat quarters.

Here is the inside of the organizer.  I've already been making good use of it (and the tea wallet) at work.  The little pockets on the right ares perfect for carrying my daily schedule around, and it's great for writing notes.

And here is a close up of the fat quarters.  Aren't they lovely?  I see a quilted patchwork basket in their future!

My thank you package from dharma_rebel arrived in the mail a few days ago, but I didn't get any pictures until today.

First, let me introduce you to my new friends:

Aren't they darling???  I especially love the little gnome dressed as a squirrel!!!

And they brought this tiny chest with them:

But what's inside?

Perfect little felted acorns, and buttons to match the girl gnome!  Thank you dharma_rebel -- I loved everything!

OMG, there are so many fantastic packages here!  I am especially in love with the blue kitchen themed fabric used in Deece's package.
5  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Craft with a Fat Quarter Swap!! (SU CLOSED, SO 4/19/11) on: April 18, 2011 05:49:56 PM
I sent today!  Despite a brief moment of fear when I realized that today was Patriots Day, a holiday celebrated only in MA.  Then I realized that the post office is a federal service and doesn't close for imaginary holidays.  This was, of course, before I saw that the send by date had been switched until the 19th.   Roll Eyes  But in any case, the package is in the mail!

I just finished my last item!  I won't be able to get my package in the mail until Monday (I'm going away for the week-end), but crafting is DONE!

I finished my three main items yesterday.  It turns out that my measurements must have been off for one thing, because it came out smaller than I intended.... hopefully my partner will be able to use it for something anyway.  Undecided  No I need to figure out what to do with the scraps....!

Last year I "discovered" Janis Joplin's songs on YouTube, now Aerosmith!  See, you can get valuable knowledge from American Idol! I like it that YouTube prints the lyrics below, cause I'm old and can't understand all he is singing!  LOL!

Good to know that my TV and internet addictions may pay off someday!  Grin

Whew!  All of the pieces are cut out, and I *may* even have enough fabric to make one more very, very small item, if I have time and inspiration.   Shocked

Just checking in and saying hi!  I received a wonderful package from Grimmscreed! hugs......
I have not been around much as I am getting married April 12 so I am busy with that.  I will be mailing out my thank you after I am done with that but definately before sendouts Smiley

That is a very valid reason for not being on craftster 24/7.  Congrats, good luck, and be sure to enjoy your big day!  Oh, and make sure you eat some of the food at your own reception -- a lot of people have trouble with that one.  Wink
