Wow this is cool! Has given me ideas for my bed (frame is wood/ugly powder coated steel).
What is rustoleum (sp.?)? Sorry to be the foreigner. Is that just metallic spray paint? Or a metal primer? Did you need to prime this first?

So cool; I've done this a few times with old schoolgirls annuals or vintage knitting/sewing patterns. As a hardcore-hoarder I can never bear to cut them up, so either colour-photocopy them or scan them.
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Flower Lights with tutorial! on: May 03, 2008 01:48:58 AM
That's a great idea! I love those and I'm going to make some. We have christmas lights that we're not using, so I can use those and I have a couple of leas (sp?) to use as well.
I just have one question though. How could I hook the strand of lights up if I wanted to hook them up around my room like a boarder? I've tried to hook lights up as a boarder around the room for Christmas decorations and they always fall down. Any suggestions on how to hook them up so they'll stay?

You can get removable plastic hooks that attach to the wall with double sided foam, designed especially for that; I work at a hardware store, and the brand we have is 3M.
