11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Adult Only Swap Rnd4? on: May 01, 2010 11:50:40 AM
I know there has been "Adult" themed swaps in the past and I'm sad I missed out on all of them!! It seems there hasn't been one in a while. I'd love to get one going. Anyone else in? Ideas? I'd love some pasties, restraints, cozies for my toys,... etc. Take a look at the past rounds. They looked like so much fun! Who is in?
12  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Frida Kahlo/Dia de los Muertos Needle Roll on: April 15, 2010 01:49:22 PM
I made this awesome needle roll for my awesome pen pal! I'm a total crappy sewer and I didn't use a pattern but I'm really happy with the way it came out. However, I'd do a few things differently the next time around. C&C welcomed!

Here it is all rolled up.

13  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Yoga Swap on: March 20, 2010 04:04:12 PM
Hello! The weather is getting warmer and its getting me in the mood for some yoga! I have to admit that I'm pretty out of shape and haven't done yoga in a while. I tried after I had my 3rd kiddo in December and was shocked at how little I could do now. But, what better way to get into it with a splendid swap? I need some peace and flexibility in my life. Anyone care to join me? I'm pretty swamped with swaps right now. But, I was thinking perhaps starting sign ups the end of April. Ideas?
14  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / What next? on: February 28, 2010 11:28:00 AM
I just spun some milk latte. Do I set the twist (soaking, drying, hanging) like I would with wool?
15  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Recent attempts. on: February 27, 2010 04:11:22 PM
I just started spinning on a drop spindle. Here are my most recent attempts Smiley

The last one is milk latte. It was so hard to spin!!!
16  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Pixes (the band) Swap on: February 26, 2010 08:49:23 AM
I LOVE the Pixies! I can't stop listening to "Where Is my mind" "Wave of Mutilation" and "Here Comes Your Man". Would anyone care to join me in a spectacular Pixie themed swap?
17  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Allergic to animal fibers. on: February 16, 2010 04:27:17 PM
I want to spin some yarn for a project that I'm doing for a swap but my partner is allergic to all animal fiber. I am new to spinning and I use a drop spindle. Can anyone recommend a fiber that a newbie like me will have no problem spinning on my drop spindle?
18  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Dethklok/ Metalocalypse swap on: February 04, 2010 01:16:15 PM
Would anyone be interested in a Dethklok swap? Me and my dh are HUGE fans. I would be able to organize. I was thinking of making it 1 large, 1 medium, and 1 small. I wouldn't be able to organize until April-ish because of School, perhaps before if there is interest. Any ideas?
19  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Penny! The best doggie in the world. on: January 24, 2010 07:29:37 PM
A few weeks ago we lost our family dog, Penny. She was the most amazing companion. Her loss hit us all hard. But, my mother has taken in particularly hard. So, I asked the wonderful I Sew Cute to help me out with a pattern. She was wonderful and generous enough to oblige. I got to stitching, hemmed the sides, and made it into a pillow for my mom Smiley I put some of Penny's fur in the stuffing so my mom will always have something of her near her. That may sound kinda odd to some people. But Penny was truly special and a part of the family. I'm shipping it out tomorrow. I hope my mom likes it. Ok... I'll stop blabbing and get on to the pics....

I can't thank I Sew Cute enough!
20  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / First completed project o the year! on: January 12, 2010 08:47:20 AM
So, not only are these my first finished project of the year, they are also my first pair of socks. Smiley I am quite pleased with the finished result. I thought socks would be a nightmare. But, they were quite fun and I must admit that I'm addicted. lol I made these for my mom. I used a pattern from Craft magazine.
