Oooh! Everyone's yarns are gorgeous!

volomortuus- I especially love your first yarn! Reminds me of ice and snow.

Inez- the color is gorgeous!

nikschaf- I think "Rose Garden" is a perfect name for the yarn. Thanks for sharing the whole process, too Smiley

fancyarbor- Wow!! I've spun sari silk before and I loved the outcome. The colors are so vivid. Corespinning it must have been a total b*tch, though. lol It came out great, though Smiley

I only have one yarn to share this week. I haven't been spinning as much lately Sad School and kids demand much too much of my time! lol I also haven't made a whole lot of progress on carding the alpaca I had washed.

Meet Ollie! I knit this for a fellow Crafster. She loved it! It was my first time knitting a toy. It was a simple and relatively quick knit.

24  Little toosties need love, too! in Knitting: Completed Projects by Zombie_Queen on: February 25, 2011 09:11:21 AM
These socks were an incredibly fast knit and perfect for keep little feetsies warm against the winter chill. The girls loved wearing hand knit socks. Normally, I don't knit many socks for my kiddos because their feet grow so fast, it seems almost wasteful to spend the time and money even doing it. For these socks I used some Caron Simply soft.

25  Sexy socks of Doom!! MUAHAHAHAHHA! in Knitting: Completed Projects by Zombie_Queen on: February 25, 2011 09:07:56 AM
I am soooo happy with how these socks came out. I really think the yarn I used compliments the pattern perfectly. I used hand dyed sock yarn from Out of Steps Dyeworks in the Vampire Girl colorway to knit up these Rivulets socks.

It has been FOREVER since I've posted on FF. But, I've been pretty damn busy Smiley Here's some of my latest stuff. Be warned, this is going to be a super picture chubby post!

corespinSkein by Zombie_Mama
My first corepsinning attempt. I REALLY happy with how it came out and can't wait to do more corespinning.

This yarn is my most favorite creation. Over 1000 yards from over 50 samples from the Phat fiber box. It is gorgeous. I can't even remember how many different fibers are in this yarn!

I know this isn't a finished project... but I thought you guys might like to see all this delicious alpaca that I'm fluffing and teasing by hand. Next step is to hand card it. This is my first time processing raw fleece and I LOVE it!

27  Re: Chocolate Swap Gallery Sendouts- 12/6/10 in The Swap Gallery by Zombie_Queen on: December 14, 2010 09:12:38 PM
I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to post pictures of my awesome package! Rest assured everything has been devoured. lol

I LOVE this embroidery. I hung them up immediately. They have inspired me to start an embroidery project.

Both packages of cookies were eaten within days. The Tim Tams were so good. I wish I could get my hands on some more!

I was surprised that my kids really enjoyed the eucalyptus candies. I pretty hoarded the jellies all to myself. I especially loved the black currant one. Yum!

Mmmmm!! There are a couple missing because me and the kiddies couldn't wait. lol

Thank you sooooo much for being an awesome partner. I hope you enjoy all your goodies as much as we enjoyed ours ! Smiley

I didn't do a whole lot this week. I only have one skein to show. But, it is super pretty!!! I'm not sure what to call it. It is wool, mohair, recycled soda bottles, and lots o' sparkle Smiley

Hey guys, I received my package from my partner. She gave me a fabric journal inspired by Teesha Moore, a hand drawn zen doodle and zen doodling instructions.

Sorry, I'm a bit late. The whole household is sick, including yours truly Sad

First up is Kraken! A merino bamboo blend. I think its about a fingering/sport weight.

Next up is from a SAL I'm in called "Famous Couples". This yarn is made from two chunky art batts, one was "Sid" and the other was "Nancy". This yarn has made me realize I need a jumbo flyer for my wheel. It got a bit difficult at times to spin and ply.
