51  Re: Share My Best Medium with 3 People Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by spotnik on: July 11, 2009 08:45:23 PM
I just heard from MissBentley that she received her pendant, so I am going to go ahead and post the pic of all 3 of them together.

The blue/aqua one is Amazonite, the orange/white/cream one is Fire Agate, and the brown spotted one is Petrified Wood.  They are all wrapped in sterling silver wire and strung on waxed cotton cord.

 Grin

I love making jewelry.   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Wow!  Great stuff in the gallery so far.

On to the pics:

I tried to make it look like a professional photo shoot!   Grin

So, in the cute floral bag, there is as follows:
1. Bath Explosion, All natural fizzing bath salt, raspberry scented
2. Cappucino scented all natural lip balm
3. Mango Butter All natural lotion stick, passion melon scented
4. Vanilla Honey Dust, all natural body dust
5. some sort of lotion in that little tub that smells like creme' brulee to me.  It makes me want to eat it.   Grin

thank you so very much 1b1g1k2.

I love all of it, and have already used the lip balm.

YOU ROCK!

Hmmm...well, Velvet Rose has not posted pics of the cards I made her for "Gothic Cathedrals/Stained Glass Windows"  So, I figured I'd post pics of what I made.

I sure hope VR likes them.

Also, MommyTheMaid has not posted a pic of the "Beauty Pageants" card I sent her.  Unfortunately, I neglected to take pics of the card before I sent.  I am kind of sad I didn't because I thought it was pretty cool.

I received from PeachesEveryday!!!  I LOVE what she made me.

Get those wisting fingers ready!

A messenger bag!!!  With a strap long enough for me to wear it cross-body.  In absolutely wonderful colors!

It is sitting on top of hubby's computer bag - just ignore the black nylon.

blurry picture of the cute little tab on the strap

The bag, open - the lining is black with tiny white polka dots.

There are pockets inside too.  And a tag that says "For Karen" - my very own custom label bag!!!

Thank you so much Peaches!  I love it!

Sorry Oyhana - I don't have a better pic.  I forgot to take pics before I sent.   Embarrassed  Typical of me, unfortunately.  I am glad you like the card, however.   Grin

In other news, I received three amazing ATCs today.

First, from eukarya - the letter "R."  I cannot express how thrilled I am with this card - it goes very well with  my Knight card from Ysmeine.

Next, from PattiM, "Sunset," which is the view of Brooklyn across Jamaica Bay from Patti's hometown in New York.  Very very pretty!  I've never been to NY, but this card makes me want to visit.

Finally, from corduroy cat, "Australia."  This card makes me smile.  I love it - the background, the quote and the fabric pieces.  I couldn't get a good closeup of the quote - it says "Australia is the smallest of the continents, although it is sometimes regarded as the largest island in the world."

Thanks ladies - I absolutely love what you've created!!

Here's a better picture of the monkey card I made for crazyda79 - just so you can see some of the details.

The background is soft pastel, the leaves and vines are markers and the monkey is acrylic paint.   Grin

I received!  SkitzoLeezra did a fabulous job!  Such incredible sewing skills, perfect fabrics, even some kawaii stuff.  Yay!

Piccies:

First - the box.

You need to understand - I am in LOVE with a Japanese cartoon named Afro-Ken.  He's a dog with a big afro...um.  So, yeah. Afro-Ken on the box!  So cute!

Next, everything together:

The fabric on the purse is gorgeous - I love the colors.  All sorts of fun stuff too.  Even some tabasco!  Yum!

mp-3 player pouch and a feminine product storage wallet.  (With lovely embroidery inside!)

And a kawaii phone pouch and an Afro-Ken lip balm cozy.

(Sorry about the blurriness - my camera didn't want to cooperate)

Check out these details!

The straps are made from upcycled men's suspenders, the buttons are vintage wood, held on with blue cat's eye beads!

Wow!  Lisa, you sure spoiled me!!!!!!!!!!  Thank you so very much for being such a great swap partner!

(Just ignore the Rosarita and stuff on the table - we went to Costco tonight, and I didn't want to wait to put everything away.  Grin )
