I have found a decent amount on Craftster and other websites about painting kitchen cabinets, but I am so uneducated about them, I don't even know what kind of material mine would be called. I know they are cheap, and have a wood "wall paper" covering on them. I know I will need to clean and prime them, but I want to make sure I am using proper supplies, and as horrible as they look now, I don't want to make them look worse when I am finished.
And there are a few spots of damage, the covering peeling and a wound in one of the doors. Can I just fix that with some wood putty, and then go head with prime and paint?
Any advice would be appreciated.
