1  Flat Rate Box Supply Swap in New Swap Theme Ideas by scarlettsquill on: April 28, 2014 01:32:45 PM
Does anyone know if there are any supply swaps planned or coming up soon? I did a "stuff a  $4.95flat rate box with supplies" swap before, and it was great fun! I think spring is a great time to clean out your craft stash and pass some neglected supplies on to someone who will be excited about them! The one I did before was a small flat rate box, but I could probably fill any size :-)

First, I LOVE my package! This is the best swap box I have ever received! Thank you so much! Here are the goodies...

Tiny poison bottles! (My boyfriend wants to use them for his breakfast cereal sugar!)

Candle holders with hand sculpted skulls!

A skull mug filled with yummies, and yes, that is a Halloween stocking. Hilarious!!!

A vintage-y box.

The inside of the box and my awesome hand sculpted creepy monster man.

Last but not least. My bag with a sparkly spider pin and this lovely pair of earrings. (Perfect, I actually don't have any black earrings!)

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Happy Halloween everyone!

I wasn't sure where to post this, so I'm open to suggestions for future posts! I'm just getting back into sewing, so i made myself this tread catcher to help keep my sewing desk neat. So helpful!

I love the raven tote! I've been using it as a lunch bag.

Magnets! Ireally needed these.

A close up of the jewlery set.

Thank you so much! What a fun swap.

6  Cabled Men's Scarf in Knitting: Completed Projects by scarlettsquill on: September 02, 2008 09:02:56 PM
I knit this scarf for my boyfriend. He wanted something that had textural interest but wasn't too wild. It is knit using a variegated grey wool in a simple diamond cable pattern. Now, he can stay warm and look dashing!

7  Felted Cat Bed in Knitting: Completed Projects by scarlettsquill on: September 02, 2008 08:56:34 PM
I am quite proud of this cat bed that I knit for my cat Mrs. Marple. I used the pattern in A Second Treasury of Magical Knitting
by Cat Bordhi.

Here, I am modeling the cat bed before I felted it.

Here is my happy kitty enjoying her new kitty basket!

If I made another one, I probably wouldn't follow the pattern exactly. As written, the pattern causes the bed to bow out a little to much in the sides, so it doesn't stand up very well. Overall, it was a success as Mrs. Marple's extensive use of the bed has showed.
