That skirt is gorgeous, jfer007!

Now I have the urge to check my fabric stash for a piece of fabric big enough to make one of my own.  Wink

It looks like everyone is being awesomely productive! Love all the projects!

I sorted through my fiber today. I couldn't bear to part with any of it...I may need it, ya know? Roll Eyes But, at least I got it divided between what will be spun and what will be used for felting/stuffing toys.

That is some awesome re-gifting, Gaudiknight! I'm sure it will find good homes.

I cleared more from my book shelves, yay! Got all my crafty notebooks up there now. Please excuse the excess furniture. Our living room tables are glass-topped. We need to replace those with something more toddler-friendly. So, for now, they are cluttering up my crafting space. When the two feet of snow melts, they're going in the barn (for the big Spring garage sale I need to have).

I also cleared out my drawer(s!) of patterns and reduced it down to just these 16 plus two in my box of UFOs. Now I can close the drawer! I think I got rid of about 30.

Finished up this little guy last night. He was sitting around for about two years, about 2/3 finished...on, you guessed it, my cluttered book shelf.  Undecided He was originally an attempt to de-stash some yarn I bought for doll hair. Finally used it up.  Cheesy

Bushbaby, I like to think of it as all part of the same process. Sometimes you just have to do what is easier...the closet instead of the beads. But, you're still clearing out the mental clutter (way to go!), which frees up energy to get creative. Once you get the donation bags out of the way, anyway.  Wink

Wow, Brandyk! That's some serious sewing!

I finished 4 crochet UFOs... just needed to weave in the ends (my least favorite part). I think I'm down to about a dozen things on my to-do list. There was a hat (not pictured), two scrappy yarn bowls, and a yurt for my cat. The cat had been using the yurt for months with all the little strings hanging off it, poor thing.

I *mostly* cleaned off the smaller bookcase in my craft room. I filled up a box with supplies and crafting books to donate, and transferred the rest of the craft books to the big bookcase (which actually had room on it from me getting rid of some of my novels and cookbooks). There's a lot of stuff on my book shelves that I plan on getting rid of, but I ran out of empty boxes, and the books take me a while to let go of.

I finished one of my UFOs today. It's a magnetic 'to do' list. I printed out a list of the chores I need to do daily/weekly onto magnet-backed-paper, then used my rotary cutter and quilting ruler to cut nice, straight lines. The strips of blue are just the leftover edges of the magnetic sheet colored with a sharpie. Organizational refrigerator poetry.  Wink

I also did some more decluttering of my craft room. I sorted through my desk drawer filled with all of my tools and got the junk out of it. My box of ribbon got emptied... most of it was inherited from a friend and in bad condition, so I pitched it. The few spools that were new got added to the donate pile because I have no immediate use for them.

I love the curtains! They're so cheerful. Nice stitching, Kookaloo_Starr and Vampedangel14!

The box of paints was weeded through with my last project, thankfully. The recycling was clean-up from holiday crafting and, weirdly, breast milk storage bottles (I had scores of these since my DS was a NICU kid) I was saving for... something crafty.  Huh Yeah... I just thought of something else that needs to be recycled today.

Oh, no, CLM! That's awful. IME, most people are really understanding about that, though. We almost all have days where our houses are just not presentable. I say almost because I know some real neat freaks whose homes look curated 24/7.  Tongue

While my DS finished lunch, I cleared a big box of never-used specialty dishes out of my curio cabinet. After lunch, he emptied my box of painting supplies onto the floor (no mess as he didn't open anything) while I cleared two boxes of books off of my shelves and bagged up two grocery bags full of paper and plastic for recycling, and another small bag of trash.  Cheesy Feels so good!

I'm in, too! My craft room has become the storage room for all the things that my toddler can't play with for safety reasons...it's a disaster.

I have a lot of WIPs floating around that need to be completed before I start anything new. I also have a lot of supplies that I bought with a project in mind, then never got started on. Between finishing WIPs and completing the other planned projects, I figure I can keep myself pretty busy this year.

Our family is also working towards minimizing the number of things cluttering up our closets and house. Since a lot of my planned projects were clothes (nothing fits after the baby), hopefully I can pare down my wardrobe into a few essential garments that I love to wear and clear out the pieces that I don't, all while using up my stash.

So, three goals for me:
1. No starting something new before my WIP list is cleared.
2. No buying supplies until all the planned projects are done (unless I need something small to finish it).
3. Give away the excess stuff (supplies, finished items, duplicates, etc.).

I'm really looking forward to this journey with all you lovely people!  Kiss Happy New Year!
30  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Need id help for the stones on this bracelet, please... on: December 30, 2013 10:49:03 AM
I agree that it looks like amber set in silver. IME, glass stones are usually set in base metals or silver plate. That's not a cheap bracelet.
