1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / I done a jigsaw! on: March 02, 2010 02:12:41 PM
A present for my friend's wedding.  I hope she likes it!

The words are kind of hard to read, but it spells out "Forget what we're told/Before we get too old/Show me a garden/That's bursting into life" which is from Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.

I picked the song because I knew she liked the band, I didn't realise it was her favourite and she actually had it as the first dance!
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Things made with felt! on: April 19, 2008 05:01:12 AM
This is my first time... be gentle Wink

A few weeks ago I made a square of felt from a kit I got in a local craft shop.

It turned out pretty well, but I wasn't sure what to do with it, so I put it to one side and forgot about it... until last week, I thought I'd try cutting out shapes and, well, took it from there.

I can't post pictures yet, so here's my gallery, in all its glory (OK, a bit sparse so far!)

The hairclip is a bit bigger, about 2 inches across as opposed to about an inch for the brooch.  The brooch has an ordinary brooch finding stitched to the back, the hairclip has a barrette-style fastening which I stitched and glued, just to be sure.

Any thoughts?  Constructive criticism welcome!
