1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Portal and Mario birthday tshirts on: October 05, 2011 02:13:04 PM
Hey,

Every birthday i make my husband some tshirts, usually in some way related to his favourite games.

Its his 30th today and these are what i created.

This one is inspired by Portal 2 - where there are pictures on the walls of leopard print turrets. I saw them and just knew i had to make a tshirt with one on! I am so proud of this, as its my first attempt at doing some embroidery too (the black lines on the turret are all hand embroidered, i think i did a pretty good job  Smiley )

This one i started making for last Christmas but didn't get time to finish it, so i put it aside for months. Its Mario and Princess Peach, but as us. I didn't really realise until i was almost finished that i had to do some sort of faces, so they are not perfect, but i am pleased with it. Hubby loved it so that's what counts Cheesy

Now i need to give my poor fingers a rest before its time to start the mega Christmas crafting session!
2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Katamari cousins on: November 07, 2010 02:01:54 AM
This halloween my fiance and myself decided to dress as katamari cousins. We weren't specific ones, but i'm sooo happy with how our costumes turned out!

and of course one of our cattens had to give it a try too!

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / pin up ladies table on: September 19, 2010 07:26:01 AM

Hey, I made this about a year ago now and have finally got round to taking photos.

It's just a plain pine table from ikea which i painted purple and decoupaged with pictures of pin up ladies from a page a day calendar. I absolutely love it!

Here's a pic of the whole table (sorry it's a bit blurry!)

and here are some close ups of the ladies:

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / polka dot wedding invites on: April 05, 2010 09:10:56 AM
Hey, im so excited i just had to share these, im so proud!

My boyf and i are not even officially engaged yet (we're waiting for my ring to be made), but we are planning on getting married in Vegas next summer and then having our reception party back over here. Anyway, i plan on having a red and black vivian of holloway swing dress as my wedding dress as i love polka dots.

http://www.vivienofholloway.com/1950s-Halterneck-Polkadot/1950s-Halterneck-Red-Black-Polka-Dot-Dress.html

I've been thinking about invites and most ive seen i haven't be too keen on because they're not very me. I was in paperchase afew weeks ago and i found the perfect card though, pink polka dot yippee! So, we went into town on Saturday and bought 6 packs (all they had!) and when i got them home i was gutted to realise that they were just postcards, not folded cards! what to do!

well, i already knew that i wanted to have some ribbon on them, and realised that it was actually very fortunate that the cards were postcards, as it meant i could back them on another colour of card and fold the ribbon around so there were no raw edges visible. So, straight to hobby craft this morning to buy black card and ribbon and a bit of playing around with our dymo label maker and ta da......

and here is one of the envelopes. Just playing around with this. This one is rubbish, but i want to do something along those lines, probably one big heart and 2 smaller ones when i do them properly.

Anyway, i hope people like them.

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / katamari, chocobo, nobi nobi boy and zero tshirts on: December 25, 2009 08:14:50 AM
Hey,

here are some of the presents i made my boyfriend this Christmas. They're all inspired by computer games he likes and took bloody ages to make (all apart from nobi nobi boy by hand sewing) but im so pleased with how they turned out, and so glad he likes them.

For this i wanted to do a katamari cousin with some accessories, like you get when you find presents in the game. I decided on the ribbons then made a leopard print cousin. my boyf says this is what i'd be like if a was a cousin, which is probably true as i do love some leopard print

another katamari tshirt. my fave character is can can (on the right) and boyfs is harvest (left)

this is a tee of zero from nightmare before chirstmas

this is inspired by the game nobi nobi boy. it goes around the back of the tshirt and was a pain to sew! took ages even using my machine and looks abit like a 5 year old made it, but its boyf's favourite, which is nice

and finally a lovely chocobo. Really odd, as i met my boyf when he was wearing a chocobo tshirt which he's had for years now and last night he decided to throw it out as it doesnt fit properly anymore, and lo and behold today ive made him a new one!

Anyway, i hope people like these, im really proud of them and can't wait to make some more.

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / what i made today on: November 14, 2009 11:49:02 AM
Ive been to another jewellry class today and got all inspired (and spend happy in the bead shop!)

We made the butterfly necklace in class today. It was abit tricky getting the shape at first but i think mine turned out well. Im going to make another in pinky colours too.

I made the heart necklace after seeing something similar in a book recently and want to have a go making a brooch or something that's similar, maybe in different colours.

The collage necklace is another of my button ones, i love them, so fun and cute.

Anyway, i hope people like them, thanks for looking.

7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / lots of jewellry ive been making on: November 08, 2009 07:37:04 AM
Hey, my first post in here, so i hope people like. Ive been going to jewellry making classes in the Bead Shop in Manchester for a few months now and am finding jewellry making very addictive indeed. Here are some of the things ive made. Some are from the classes and others ive made at home using the techniques weve been learning.

I made this yesterday and i absolutely adore it. So pretty and pink, it makes me very happy to look at it:

I made this in class a while ago using pearls and swarovski bicones in various sizes:

the colours haven't shown up too well on here, its grey pearls with sead beads between them and then lots of lovely pink 4mm bicones in a burst:

another one in red and black:

another collage necklace. This one i made in class yesterday:

This is one of my favourite pieces. We made this in class with czech glass beads and some others. I want to do another is a cuff:

I made this to match the cuff, as i love the colours and the beads in it:

and finally, a pearl and wire bead necklace on memory wire. I love it, but unfortunately it is a bit of a pain to wear as it isnt clasped.:
