that's incredible for a newbie, plus being able to read a pattern. I've been crocheting on and off for 30 years and learned how to read patterns only 8 years ago.

My partner never sent her stuffie to me, I was a bit disappointed. Then I received an message from Scarlet_Angel and she told me that she was going to be my "angel" for this swap. This is what she sent my son. He loves zoo animals and he has autism. She used the puzzle pieces fabric (which is the symbol for autism awareness) for his ears. That was so thoughtful of her. Enjoy.

When I saw the trailers for the new Winnie the Pooh movie I just had to make him. I bought the pattern from Siempre Josefina. She has great patterns. I've added him to my stash of stuffies.

He's made with red heart super saver yarn and polyester fiberfill and 12mm safety eyes.

My son saw this show for the first time a couple of days ago and said, "mommy make it", so I did. It's the cutest little guy next to my little guy of course. It's so cool that he knows what mommy does and wants me to make him stuff. He just turned 6 and has autism.

I've been making all kinds of crochet toys for my son and nephew. I've posted a few here. I was given a challenge to make Spongebob. I used a 2" piece of foam for the body/head and dowels for his legs so that he could stand. Will probably make the legs of the shorts a bit longer next time and maybe his arms too. C&C appreciated

Pieces before sewing them together.


The face panel. On the second and third spongebob I made him some cheeks.


His legs and shoe. The the legs I used a 3/4" dowel and wrapped and glued the yarn as I went up. For the shoe I used what I had in a box of wooden pieces and crocheted around it.


First one I made on the left. I gave the second and third one more of a "wrist and hand" shape. They started growing taller as I went. I guess the sponge was absorbing some water

Finally back home, this was waiting at my desk from Jexxican. My very first hoopla. My son fell in love with the ninni. He loved the removable pants (he's the one that figured it out).

these are all so amazing. My son loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates, so when we get back from our vacation I'm going to make him a pirate ninni. So many ideas so little time. Still haven't been home so I the package from my partner is still sitting unopened. Hope the ninni is not scared in the dark.

QUESTION:
When stuffing the arms what are your tricks to keeping the stuffing from coming back out??

Your welcome margiej. I enjoyed making her. Sent jexxican hers today. Going out of town for three weeks. So I was relieved that I was able to finish it. Hope she enjoys it. Won't be here to receive hers, but my sister is picking up my mail and will keep it safe.
