I've been making all kinds of crochet toys for my son and nephew. I've posted a few here. I was given a challenge to make Spongebob. I used a 2" piece of foam for the body/head and dowels for his legs so that he could stand. Will probably make the legs of the shorts a bit longer next time and maybe his arms too. C&C appreciated

The face panel. On the second and third spongebob I made him some cheeks.

His legs and shoe. The the legs I used a 3/4" dowel and wrapped and glued the yarn as I went up. For the shoe I used what I had in a box of wooden pieces and crocheted around it.

First one I made on the left. I gave the second and third one more of a "wrist and hand" shape. They started growing taller as I went. I guess the sponge was absorbing some water
