11  Where's Perry?? in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by crafty-in-tally on: May 06, 2011 01:32:40 PM
My latest creation. Made this for my son's friend. His mom had mentioned wanting Perry for him and when she invited us for his birthday party I knew what to make him. The body has two 1" thick rectangle foam pieces. To make the tail not fall down I inserted a 6" piece of 1/4" dowel half into the body and the other half into his tail. Used RedHeart Super Saver. Here are the pics, enjoy.

the body is 5" x 9" overall from bill to tail he's 18" long and stands 5" tall.

Received my package from CraftyCakeLady. Loved it. It's a nice large tote bag with two inside pockets. The sides cinch in with magnetic closures. The black and white fabric matches the cover I made for my planner (see bottom picture, the B&W polka dots). Here are the pictures

Did a personal swap with FrankSpinello, I asked for 10 of her felt finger puppets for my little boy.

This is what came in the package.

Before I can take a picture, my sister ate one of the cadbury caramel eggs.  Cheesy

A small bag of cool buttons. Will probably use them on my kindle sleeves.

Here are the amazing felt finger puppets. I wasn't expecting the cool case that they came in.

and here's my little boy with the little pig. He said they were cool. He took them to his room and kept coming back to me to put another one on his fingers until he had a handful on.

15  Minion went Overseas in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by crafty-in-tally on: April 12, 2011 02:29:51 PM
Personal Swap with FrankSpinello (Cathy). I ask for some of her felt finger puppets they are so cute my son loves to play with regular size puppets so I thought he would enjoy hers. This is what I sent her:

Two eyed Minion, I even made him a passport since he was going overseas. The other side of the British flag is the American flag

Hedgehog toy (I can't remember if I sent her this green one or another color)

Her son loved the toys.

Diaper/Wipey Case

Got my package today. woohoo. She sent a small notebook with what looks like recycled paper. I always have a notebook in my purse for ideas. She also sent a little bunny for my little boy how thoughtful. Thanks.

18  Re: My version of the Despicable Me Minion in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by crafty-in-tally on: March 23, 2011 08:54:19 PM
Made another one. I'm loving making these. Each time I finish one my son grabs it. This one is 6" tall. I am also going to make one for myself but even smaller for my keys. Will see how that works out.

They measure 18", 9" and 6"

The large one came back to me. My niece saw how much my son loved it and gave it to him. Will have to make her something nice.

Made the smaller version. They are 9" tall. The blue one is for my son and the others for the cousins' kids. Now my niece wants one. Probably a pink one.  Grin

20  My version of the Despicable Me Minion in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by crafty-in-tally on: March 12, 2011 08:47:16 AM
My niece saw a post where someone had made some minion beanie hats. She asked me to make her one. Then I don't know how he became a "full size" version of the minion. He stands 18" tall. He wasn't meant to be this big, I forgot that acrylic yarmn stretches and as I was stuffing him he just grew and grew. Now my 5 yr old wants one (that's him in the last pic). Will probably make him a smaller version. But here you go, enjoy!

I put fiberfill behind his eye to make it pop out.

His hair, I just unraveled the 4 ply yarn after I "hooked rugged" it to his head.

See how big he is. I may tell my niece it got lost and keep it. The only problem with that is she comes to my house everyday afterschool. So I may just give it to her.  Cheesy

Made one for myself. Not as large only 4 1/2" tall, here he is posing with the 6" tall one.
