1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: One dollar maternity shirt! on: January 12, 2010 05:15:36 PM
trying to find normal clothes that fit my belly and dont make the rest of me look frumpy is very hard.

I wear mens wife beaters all the time!! I am about a size 4 and I wear the size L ones that come in packs at Target, etc. I have black ones and grey ones and they saved my life. They are long enough to really cover and the ribbed material stretches wherever you need it. They are really inexpensive and they go with everything. I know this isn't craft related but it was the best advice I ever received and I needed to pass it on!

that sounds great although i live in australia so i dont know if our tiny target would sell them. thanks for your suggestion and i will have to have a look around. :-)

so jealous right now. im due in may and just moved to a town that has no maternity wear :-( ive been wanting to make my own maternity clothes but we have had to move back in with my parents and so i cant start projects at the moment.  trying to find normal clothes that fit my belly and dont make the rest of me look frumpy is very hard. this is even more inspiration for when i can actually sew again- if its not too late. amazing and congrats :-)
