This is very cute!  I'm right in the middle of making a tie dress for myself; going to the fabric store tomorrow for a zipper.  I've been thinking a lot about the whole neckline thing myself.  My dress has a lot more ties in, of course, so it's hard to decide what to do with all those loose ends.  Your dress came out really nice!  I would love to go to the fireworks or chase fireflies in it.

I saw on Martha Stewart she used silk ties to die easter eggs.  She wrapped them around the eggs while she was boiling them and the pattern came off on the eggs.
