1  Silly card I made in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by teacups_ on: July 05, 2008 06:36:20 AM
So, I am about to mail a friend a resin badge I made for him.
Now, I couldn't just wrap it up and it put it in the post, nooo I have to make as many useless things as I possibly can and shove them into a big envelope.
It's 1.30 in the morning, so I'm tired, and not thinking totally straight.
Anyway, heres the card:

I think its cute in a kinda creepy way.
And oh, I have NO idea what 'glamour squirrels' means, I just thought a creepy thing should be thinking creepy thoughts, and these are the first words I found.
Hah.

2  Three big resin *somethings* in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by teacups_ on: July 05, 2008 05:33:06 AM
Here are some things I made with resin,
I got jam jar lids and glued in pictures from kids books and filling with resin.
Really easy to do.
I am thinking I will either glue pinbacks to them to make large badges, or magnets. Suggestions?

Oh, and I also made some sprinkle hearts too!

3  First successful(ish) resin pendant in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by teacups_ on: June 30, 2008 09:40:08 PM
I absolutly adore resin jewellery, and some of the stuff I have seen on here has been super spectacular.
Mine is not so great.

I know that it is very far from perfect, but I also know where I went wrong, which I think is a good thing.
I didn't seal the picture with glue well enough around the edges and that explains why it is all gross and dark.
I also know not to let my dad drill the holes, because he is too blind to get them even!
The top like, caves in, but I've read that its normal? Next time I will fill the hole up with more resin after it dries.

My mum wore it today, and people liked it!! I've even been requested to make a 'manly' one, so I guess its not as terrible as I think.

I've got lots more resin stuff in my garage drying, so I will probably update this in a few days with more pictures.

Please leave me any comments or feedback, thanks!
