21  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: Fiber Friday Funness!!! August 6, 2010 on: August 07, 2010 10:33:25 PM
Awesome yarns this week! I'd comment on every one of them but I'm so tired. Wink I'll have some to show this coming Friday.
22  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: Tips for Spinning Bamboo on: August 03, 2010 10:01:07 AM
That really is the coolest part about bamboo, it seems to stretch forever and when you blend it with other fibers it takes very little to make a huge difference.

I bought like 5 bundles of fiber from her, including a gray alpaca/bamboo mix. That was one of my favorite batches of fiber to spin. It came out AMAZINGLY thin yarn. I just used it for a hat. I'll have to find the link.

Her shipping deals are awesome, also it works out to buy more from her. I think things get discounted. My husband actually talked to her on the phone to get the best deal. He ordered me 32 ounces and it was like $18. That is a deal! I highly recommend her to everyone as well.
23  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: Call for experienced spinners who would like to help with Learn to Spin 2010 on: August 03, 2010 09:51:10 AM
What I got wrote out last night is so....wordy...lol I'm going to have to re-edit some more later. I just found that a lot of the instructions online I was referencing didn't have enough of an explanation as far as terms and instructions go. Maybe I can send it to you Bella when I'm done for an opinion.
24  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: Call for experienced spinners who would like to help with Learn to Spin 2010 on: August 02, 2010 09:05:31 PM
Hey guys! I am working on the next spinning tutorial now. I should have it up in the next few days. I'm still needing help with the tutorials. So if any of you experienced spinners would like to help please read the above post.

We've had an offer to help from Belladune, but we could use more help anyway! Please, please offer a hand to our new spinners! Wink I just need some paragraphs wrote out and I will do the editing. Thanks!

26  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: What would you think of a Finished Objects stuck sticky? on: August 02, 2010 08:18:41 PM
I do think that would be cool. I'm always wondering where to stick things like that. I often miss projects that are complete with handspun. I try to look at everything though.

I love them! Especially the middle one. Well, how did you like it!? Did you have a blast? Wink
28  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: Llamas, a hand spindel, and a HOME MADE WHEEL! on: July 27, 2010 07:28:45 PM
You can always save your excess "fluff" in a ziplock and card it up later into multicolored goodness. Smiley That's what I do. I figure it will make a really crazy batt one day...One day when I have a drum carder...One day... haha
29  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: Dutch Bike Ride, Garden Clippings, etc. spring inspired batts on: July 25, 2010 12:45:19 PM
Bugs in the Flower Patch is amazingly vibrant! I'm loving that bright blue with the gold. You know, it's amazing how colors come together when it comes to fiber. I haven't come across one batt that I don't like. They look like a piece of artwork all by themselves. I always feel slightly guilty to tear them apart and spin them.

Woooooowwww. I can't remember if I have already replied to this thread or not, but I just looked at everything again and o...m...g...! I would love to see Oh Baby and Paint Me a Picture spun up, as well as It's a Boy. Garrshhh, I wanna see 'em all spun up! Nice work. Dang I want a carder. My antique hand carders don't do the job.
