Here they are, the slippers that would not have existed if it was not for the instructions posted by paperandglue. As you can see I ran out of green yarn but I think the brown looks ok too. Comments appreciated.
I am planning on starting a quilt project with the women incarcerated at the local prison where I volunteer to give them skills to take with them once they are released. All my work up to this point has been on clothing, knitting and other small gifts. If anybody has any ideas on how to get such a big community project like this going or any idea on quilting, I would love for you to share those ideas with me.
Just wanted to give a heads up to any locals that there is a Craft fair on at the North Street Church this weekend, April 26th and 27th. There is a lot of great local crafters there with some really good ideas and wonderful wares.
Hey guys, I made my first batch of shampoo today and wondered if many other people are doing this? I used a base and then added dried flowers, essential oils that are particularly good for my hair colour. Its an all natural alternative that doesn't leave nasty sulfates in your hair!
Does anyone know how to make a shampoo base from basic ingredients?
hey there, Just wondering if anybody knows how to prevent zippers from getting that bubbly effect? I just finished a project only to find that I need to go back and fix the zipper. any ideas or direction would be great and prevent frustration for me in the future.
I am new to this site and sewing in general, I was sick of hunting for far too long for clothes in Thrift stores, don't get me wrong I still like do that but there is a special feeling that comes with knowing that you can make your own clothes and other creations. Just wanted to post a link to the dress that I made last summer. Let me know what you think.
