I don't have an acutal pattern, I'm sorry. But I can direct you to this pixie hat pattern which is similar: http://crochet-mania.blogspot.com/2009/09/crochet-pixie-hat.html Just leave out the bobbles around the edge and add the face. I hope that helps a little.

My favorite "Guy stitch" is the crunch stitch.

It is Sc,DC,Sc,Dc across then you turn and SC in the DC and DC in the SC

It makes a nice textured fabric that isn't too open or too stiff.
