Drop a precooked meatball into the shell and squeeze ricotta/garlic blend on top using a pastry bag.

Bagged blend of chopped veggies, tossed in dressing can be scooped into the shells for a no fork salad.

Craftlister is a good site for finding local fairs... the local events tab on craigslist may also have groups looking for crafters for their fairs.

All of your ideas are great.  Can I ask where you are planning to sell and how?  Keeping it local or selling online?  That will make a difference in what you should sell.  Need to think of your prospective customers and find your niche.

I use Vistaprint for my business cards... once you sign up for their emails they will send you tons of emails for free business cards.  The premium cards are often free and have no watermark..... the basic 10 or so that you can find on their site as freebies do have a Created For Free @ Vistaprint mark on them.  So wait and grab the premiums on sale. 

I have vertical cards with my biz name, etsy shop, and email address.  I also like to fold these in half and use them as tags for my jewelry.

My family is very commercial. 
Last year I made baskets with cinnamon coffee/cocoa and mugs (unfortunate that they did not like the cocoa or coffee) and spent countless time making my brother Runescape coasters from Perler beads (which came out so awesome!).. not sure if he has used them though because I have never seen them since.

I will not give up though   I started knitting my mother a red chenille shawl... but know I am in love with it and will turn it into a throw for me 

I never really know what to get everyone because if they really want something they buy it for themselves.  This year I am going to do "My favorite things" gifts:

I am picking up composition books now that they are on sale and will make everyone journals/cookbooks (whatever I think they will like)

Polymer pens or handpainted pencils?

Hot/Cold packs

And not sure what else   I still have time though.. thank goodness

First thing that comes to mind is shelacing (sp?) gold fish crackers and making endless trinkets with them.  Earrings, charms, pins, etc.

Could also find neat supplies in the fishing department of many discount stores.  Hmm.. fishing lure bookmarks, fish line necklaces, etc.

BeadedbyAmy, beautiful work.. I love seeing your new work.  May I make a  suggestion? Put a spin on this tree... some colored wire, red aventurine and turn it into a coral tree. If you want more whimsy, lampwork fish swimming through would be too cute
