81  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / She's not just some cheap piece of meat! on: October 10, 2008 07:27:58 PM
THis Golden Girl keeps me laughing...

 Cheesy
82  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / A pretty sweater & hat for a babygirl! From Grandma! on: October 06, 2008 06:47:16 AM
I'm posting this for my mom...isn't she super talented with yarn? Cheesy Mom doesn't have a computer...so I know she'll get a kick out of hearing any comments you guys may have on this. The only feedback she gets is from her knitting group...and I know she sent this to my DD before she could take it to her once a month knitting meetup. So please let us know what you think of it!

I will get pattern & materials info from her too.

She made this set for my daughter as a birthday gift & my little girl is super happy with 'looking sooooo pretty in it!'
Can't you tell?  Cheesy LoL!
83  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / raven doodle with a ghost and a pumpkin...it's kind of scary! on: October 05, 2008 07:23:44 PM

I'm loving the glitter on this one! Purple and oh so sparkly!

I like this one even better than the candy sprinkles version!
84  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Gothy Sparkly...a spider...for halloween or whenever... on: October 02, 2008 09:48:18 AM

I really like how the spider looks against the silvery background. Today I'm playing with more resin while the weather holds out. I prefer to keep the kitchen window open while I work...not that easy cast has much of an odor...

What do you think? Love it, hate it, indifferent? All comments are appreciated! Cheers! Wink
85  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / I prefer treats to tricks... on: September 28, 2008 07:48:17 PM
Playing a little more with resin in the kitchen again...and came up with a purple heart with a sugary pumpkin for halloween!

This is much more sparkly in real life! I love the purple as a backdrop for this cute little pumpkin! It really stands out!  Wink

...oh, and the witchy doodle is something I did for fun...with a sharpie & orange marker!
86  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Oy Vey! Say it with...Pillows? on: September 26, 2008 06:44:05 PM
I made one of these for a friend of my mother...who has had a real trying life in general...to lift her spirits. I came up with the phrase and hand painted it on the fabric & then did a simple log cabin design to frame it & turned it into a pillow. I sewed a ribbon for hanging into the top edge...because it's more like wall art than a 'couch' decoration! LoL!
That just struck me funny!  Cheesy I do crack myself up!

Anyhow, comments are extremely appreciated, as I kind of fell in love with this idea...and was wondering what you all might think of this kind of thing. Wink

I have made a bunch in various designs...for Hanukkah, Christmas, and everyday....its not limited to holidays really. Undecided
87  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Are you staring at my hooters.... on: September 25, 2008 10:04:33 AM
...or just my hooter?  Cheesy

I'm so happy with how this piece turned out! I dont usually make 'necklaces'...staying focused mainly on the pendants...but this ribbon is so pretty & fun...I just had to take this owl all the way! The necklace is about 16.5" around...and the owl is about 1.5" across.

how it looks on:

comments questions are always welcome!
88  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Halloween Resin Candy Necklace and a bonus Doodle ...EVEN MORE ADDED NOW! on: September 24, 2008 05:23:06 PM
Getting ready for fall...and even better...Halloween!

The latest creations to come out of my kitchen...with lots of glitter!

and a real sugar skull...

This is a new one!

And the first one from yesterday...
I did the doodle in the background....ooh...Spooooky!  Cheesy

I'd make them for my kids, but at their ages I really am aftraid they'd try to eat these! Wink
89  COOKING / Dessert / 1 week ...2 birthdays ...decorated cakes for babygirl & her older brother on: September 24, 2008 10:35:23 AM
End of August...beginning of September is always hectic planning parties for both of my kids who are 2 years and 1 week apart in age.

We decorated my son's cake with his favorite thing...Thomas the Tank Engine...and he helped to put the 'balloons' on!

and for my girl we went over the top girly with birds, ponies, flowers, and lollipops! Note that her name was spelled out in purple icing on the right side, but I photo edited it out to keep it not so personal for posting here.

They're not professional or anything...as I'm not striving to do this for a living... but they were a lot of fun for my little ones!

90  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Took a break from my swaps to play more with resin...very sparkly!!! on: July 23, 2008 11:28:30 AM
I've been so busy getting my swap crafts done...that I actually needed a break! Here are my latest sparkly creations!

I just love how they sparkle in the sun & also under electric stars! I was half-tempted to keep these beauties all to meself!! Wink

Now that I got that out of my system...I'm going to go work on learning how to crochet! Grin Comments are most appreciated!
