Thanks for looking. :]

13  Marie-Antoinette Party! [image heavy] in Party Planning by hannahkarina on: April 16, 2008 06:20:41 PM
I threw a Marie-Antoinette/18th century party last Summer and figured I'd post pictures here of all of my hard work!

Photos of the guests:

^that's me!

"After party":

Thanks for looking! It was so fun, but definitely hard work to plan. Started planning in May for an August 1st party.

14  Re: Cran-apple pie! in Dessert by hannahkarina on: April 07, 2008 02:09:11 PM
I made a strawberry rhubarb pie for V-Day too but the heart-themed didn't turn out as lovely.

It's a bit crumbly:

But was very tasty!

Cranberry-apple filling, and I went a little wild with the crust design, then brushed it with warm milk and white sugar before baking.

I haven't been to a hairdresser since I was 12, so here are some photos of my fun forays into d.i.y. hairstyling . . .

My Mia Farrow, Rosemary's Baby cut:

Bright red, multilayered, multi-textured:

And how it is now:
I like to have it all different textures but I've left the colour alone mostly, aside from adding a few highlights and a bit of red dye.

17  New take on the bulletin board in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by hannahkarina on: April 07, 2008 10:30:30 AM
Not sure if this is the right section to post this in (I'm a newbie, forgive!) but I wanted to share a recent, easy project I made.

I bought a metal platter from the dollar store, they had various sizes and shapes, but I chose a rectangular one. I nailed a hole through it when I got home, hung it on the wall, and added cute magnets to use it as a "fancy" take on the bulletin board, as opposed t a corkboard or something like that.

I plan on buying more and making a whole arrangement, and making nice magnets to go with it.

Thanks for looking!
